"Limited Time Offer". "$370 for only $99.95." lol

All I can say is when this conspiracy gig runs out he's got another career pitching for Ron Popeil on the 2:30 in the morning infomercials. lol

But calling me names is just a way of ignoring the question I asked.
So I'll keep asking it until I get an answer. If your answer is calling me more names then I'll respond by asking it a third time.
So here again is the question...

Let's say he's done a home invasion and he's holding the occupants hostage. That's the only reason I can think of that would explain how he's still avoiding discovery. You'll remember that's how the maniac cop killer in California escaped apprehension in another massive manhunt.

It takes a whole lots of cops to lock down a very densely populated urban area like this. Sheriff Andy and Deputy Fife can't do that all by themselves.
And while they're doing this massive door-to-door manhunt, they have of course told the residents inside this area to stay put in a lockdown. And they've tried to clear the streets.

So my question is, how would all you do this differently?

Yep. Why disrupt everyone's lives when he's hunkered down tight...? He has to try and break through the perimeter, so just wait him out. His threat is contained to one area, right...?

And if he has hostages, he'll make contact. If he blows himself up and takes innocents with him, that's just the price we have to pay for our freedoms.

After all, that's up in Boston, and I'm down here on the FL Gulf Coast.

And besides, I can't stand the Patriots or the Sox.

Get back to me when the threat is real.

The suspect's mother says the FBI is what done did this, so you are now aligned with a known terrorist's mother. I'm so proud of you.

And so much for the whole ignoring me thing, huh T...?

I think the smartest thing you could do is to saturate yourself with this and put everything else on ignore.

Oh, good grief. Apparently the lockdown for all residents has been lifted. They have still cordoned off a 20-block area where they think the suspect might be hiding. He was pre-med. His professor said he couldn't believe he would be involved in something like this. And it's possible that he wasn't...directly involved...but simply got caught up in his brother's web. It's hard to have perspective sometimes when it comes to family members. I hope the kid has some sense. It's highly likely he didn't know what was happening...this from what I saw on the news about the background of the two brothers.

The whole world is laughing at us. The most powerful nation in the world is being held hostage by a 19 year old kid. Yes, we need more gun control and bigger tables to hide under.....BTW; Thank God Mass. has strict gun control laws. Otherwise the man watching the brothers shooting at the Cops could have ended the affair with 2 well placed head shots. He did have a direct close line of fire, or so he told the reporter.

Go figure....

Now the sheeple are lining the streets to cheer the LEOs who turned their city into a police state for nearly 24 hours, while a dumbass hid in a boat.

You sound sad that they captured the terrorist. Don't worry. There will be more. Maybe in your neighborhood. And you can only hope that they are white.

I look at it this way let them do what they have to !

They did the same in Pensacola when they got a bomb threat--maybe not as many cops ---wow if there wernt enough cops there and the guy got away again to do more harm I guess some would bitch about that --they did what they had to do ----kudos to the police I say-great job

To me this is Iraq all over. A media with too fresh of memory of the blood of innocents, caught up in the mob reaction........willing to walk away from rational, to fall into the depths of irrational fear and over reaction. Not one question today by the media questioning the breadth and extent of the house arrest of every citizen in a major metropolitian area. Shutting down a major city.....because a bomb may have had a political agenda.....like magically these common criminals have been elevated into supermen with capes.......and the only kryptonite is the abandonment of the rights of an entire city....to feed irrational fear and overreaction, while giving a road map for future bombers......lone wolves who can shut a major metropolitan area down......No terrorism won today.........and yes common murdering criminals were apprehended, but at what cost.

@ SO...

Guess how big the anal investigations will be and how far reaching their scope...?

Every relative, friend, frequent acquaintances, etc, etc is about to get to know the friendly guys at Homeland Sec. And with his internet contacts, the list could rope in a large number of folk.

It's about to get even more wall to wall.

That's a good thing. Are you upset that organizations are trying to protect us from being blown up?

I haven't chimed in on this yet but I think that if I were a police officer I wouldn't mind being surrounded by every other officer in the state during a firefight. These guys were dangerous and were throwing bombs at cops. What other response could any logical person expect? Hooray for the guys in blue. They have a right to be proud and I'm glad to see the citizens of Boston honoring them with applause as they drive by. Even the chants of USA, USA are warranted because these guys did what they did as an attack on our country. They lost. The people of Boston weren't cowed. They make me proud to be a citizen of this country.

He put one of the bombs down on the pavement. For pete's sake, how can you say he didn't know what was happening? He's an innocent looking kid but looks can deceive. He has no excuse.

2seaoat wrote:What bothers me is THIS is not the discussion. Something is really different than prior times. The proposition that spending trillions more over the last two decades to beef up our criminal justice system, and a common store video and the public solved this......yet exactly what is the purpose of three blocks of cars.....and thousands of officers standing around......we really need to have some soul searching and budget talks about how insanely large our criminal justice system has become.

It was the news media who found the uncle.......law enforcement should have been talking to him a day ago......but the absurdity of this response in Boston forcing every citizen to be confined to their home with one known suspect......we have some very serious issues to deal with, and jerk knee reaction that to discuss this is anti LEO, must stop........we need to realize this country has a standing army....the very thing our founding fathers pledged would never happen in this country.

You complain about everything. Be glad he got caught and in a timely manner.

I am seeing one street three blocks long filled with police cars......there have to be a couple of hundred cars........military vehicles.......buses filled with officers.........and all this is a response to one suspect, and possible more.

We have invested a tremendous amount of resources in law enforcement over the last 30 years with 500% increases in resources, but in the end people were killed by a couple of young men......and entire city of millions are in lock down, and every terrorist is seeing a method to attack us in the future........and sadly those thousands of law enforcement really could not stop the carnage, and doubtfully will stop the next pressure cooker bomb.....and thankfully we once again had a crime solved by security video which is where in my opinion we should be investing dollars. A single 19 year old is shutting down an entire major city in the US, and all the kings men cannot put humpty dumpty back together.........it is very frustrating to see our budget choices, and a store security video and the public seem to have solved this crime......also.....why the delay in release of this video.

I bet you whine about the time the sun comes up, it doesn't suit you.

These are TERRORISTS, not someone who robbed a filling station. The bombs they set worked. How many more did they have and where? During the course of a robbery they killed a police officer doing his duty. During the chase, they were throwing pipe bombs and hand made hand grenades.

Obviously they were not acting alone.

The mission ended successfully. What if they had done what you whine about and used 1/10th of the men and the Terrorist had killed someone else or escaped? You'd have whined about that too. Going to war, and this was a war battle, or going into a fight, you show overwhelming force so the opponent sees they don't have a slim chance in heck.

The last I heard, a few hours back, he had NOT been read his Miranda Right and will soon, hopefully, be on a plane to GITMO.

2seaoat

Sad plane to GITMO.

Are you really that uninformed? He is an American Citizen who committed a crime on American soil. The public safety exception to Miranda rights does not equal a one way ticket to Git Mo..........and what you consider whining is simple facts......a large metropolitan city was put under house arrest because pressure cooker bombs were placed....two. Do you have any idea how our response was being watched by the world? Do you think putting an entire metropolitan area under house arrest was necessary? Do you think releasing those photos a day earlier mattered? Do you think the investigation found these two, or do you think it was a response to a murder and execution of a campus policeman? Do you think with the thousands of law enforcement that they could have captured both suspects? Do you think they could have set a realistic perimeter and instead of a 1000 people standing around........actually had searched that backyard? What you call whining are simple facts. This thing was handled wonderfully by the public. The governmental response which was drawing cheers was anything but stellar, and when you lock down an entire metropolitian area of a major American city you have given the road map for future terrorist.......so please pass the cheese, and I will take a glass of silver Oak please............

This kid isn't going anywhere near GITMO. He killed Americans and he killed police officers. He'll be tried here in the US and probably sentenced to die just like Tim McVeigh was. The police and the citizens of Boston won't stand for him being taken out of the country.

Locking down an American city would make future terrorists happy if the guy hadn't been caught. He was caught and it caused a patriotic fervor from the people of Boston. Pride in our country is not what the terrorists are aiming for. I have to disagree with you on this one.
