Useful idiot, thy name is Libertarian.

You think you're John Galt, but in reality you're Gunga Din.

Man up is exactly what I did... I confronted you. You apparently can't or won't appreciate my point.

That does not make it invalid.

I like Sal... but I'm not going to be run over. I keep telling him that he's winning... but that's apparently not enough... he also wishes to humiliate his opponent. I am no man's doormat.

I understand. He sees me as a weak willed reactionary....so be it.

Self actualization is tuff on a pimp....LOL.

I see myself more in the vein of a consumer with an opinion, like a person who reviews Stage and Theatre productions. I read...digest...and if I'm feeling like doing so, write an opinion about the event...soup to nuts.

Or not...LOL

Sometimes it's whiny and self serving, but even I know there's a few gems scattered amongst the debris in my wake.

This forum can be quite therapeutic for someone who choses to dump the toxic waste here rather than carry it around like a bag of ashes sifted from a funeral pyre.

Oh sweet Jesus, just listen to me rattlin' on, waxing uncreative and downright illiterate....I apologize for stealin' your time.

I never used those words.

I just said you were giving Joanie and her merry band of trolls exactly what they wanted when you reacted to their taunts.

I stand by that, and if I remember correctly, you essentially agreed.

Yep. And I'm still agreeing with you....I have quite a list of folk who are my "sponsors".

It's all good Sal. I did not mean that as an affront to you; more the opposite.

A debate is supposed to be a little contentious, or technically, it ain't one.

Yeah.

It seems like people would grow out of a sophomoric philosophy that pretends to be morally superior and promotes liberty and self-reliance above all else, when they eventually come to the realization that their axiomatic worldview is being seized upon by nihilistic corporatists to justify their greed and consolidate their power.

Eventually, you'd think they'd see the connection between their rigid and simplistic dogma and the real world consequences.

In the end, it's just a search for a moral justification for greed.

You'd think they'd finally figure that out.

See? self-reliance has been revised to a subjective measurement that equates with greed. Tell me that's common sense.

No Man Is An Island

No man is an island,
Entire of itself.
Each is a piece of the continent,
A part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less.
As well as if a promontory were.
As well as if a manor of thine own
Or of thine friend's were.
Each man's death diminishes me,
For I am involved in mankind.
Therefore, send not to know
For whom the bell tolls,
It tolls for thee.
John Donne
