He should have fixed his own country.

He DID fix his own country, fool, as much as he could. You apparently have no idea how our "leaders" have exploited South American countries...or maybe you just think they're saving our country by stealing their resources and impoverishing or outright killing their people. You are a prime example of someone who should watch the video from Greg Palast, but you won't because it would challenge your worldview...and God knows we couldn't do that...oh, no, hell, no.

It amazes me how someone can hate thier own country as much as you and still be here.

People, if any of you in here understand this. We are invaded from witthin by our own citizens and then thier allies. Somehow our own citizens have been so brainwashed to hate this country as to blame it for all the worlds deeds. Yes, I realize that this country isnt perfect. But to blantantly and constantly blame and hate the country you live in day in and day out as some of these people do, such as the OP here. There is something wrong. And one of those things could be corrected if the people who hate this country as much as this person just got the fuck out and made room for people who love it.

I don't listen to whack jobs. Chavez ran roughshod over his people. He took from foreigners and gave to himself. If he was so generous, why didn't he create a class A health system instead of having to go to Cuba?

He was the leader of the Venezuela and responsible for the decisions made in the name of the people of that country. His country's people are for the most part uneducated which is/was his responsibility. He is/was also responsible for the health and welfare of his people so anyone subjected to slavery or any killing done was given with with his permission. Additionally...

This country did not, and still doesn't in some cases, have the infrastructure to support or build the industries to utilize those resources you're talking about and for that there needs to be payment. TANSTAAFL.
