This reveals one of the fundamental principles of talk radio.
If audience members, after hearing this, called in to ask the same question you and I have asked, one of two things will then occur.

1. the call screener filters those calls out so the rest of the personality cult in the audience never hears those questions asked.
or
2. the host takes one of those calls and then immediately starts mocking the caller and talking over him and then hits the dump button and that effectively neutralizes the question in the minds of the personality cult.

Any way I answer this it comes off as an attack on your perception. And yet, if I have to explain it wasn't worth the effort.

I'm torn.

By the way, that's exactly what happened to me when I called Brother Carl's WEBY show.

Brother Carl had said Obama was both a "Muslim" and a "Marxist". So I called in to point out that it was Karl Marx himself who said "religion is the opiate of the masses" so how could a muslim also be a marxist when muslims could never accept that?

Brother Carl immediately began mocking me and my question and talked over me. And it worked because after I was off the air, other members of his personality cult called in to mock my question too.

One more fundamental principle of talk radio.

Most audience members in a radio personality cult want the host's approval when they call in. There's a natural inclination to agree with the host because that's what gets them the approval.
Hence "dittos, Rush" becomes the call you hear the most.
