So, blizzard Nemo is scheduled to hit the NorthEast. NBC keeps cutting to Al Roker in Boston for a blizzard update and it ain't snowing there - LOL.

Is this just a Weather Channel thing to increase the hype? scratch

Stephanie's in New York and Jim's in Boston....they are beside themselves waiting on the snow. Jim finally said there is a "very very light faint snow" in Boston....WTH!

Hey, I don't claim to be the sharpest knife in the drawer. I don't sit in front of the Weather Channel unless there is a hurricane.

Hell, I didn't notice it. A buddy mentioned that to me yesterday, LOL.

In "TV meteorology" circles, anything that is not a sunny day needs to be a "named storm". That's when they put Cantore in his platform shoes out on the street to tell us all how unsafe it is to be out on the street. Apparently that's the script which pumps the ratings and sells more commercials.

I would like to see one named John Philip Sousa, I've always liked his music.
Hell, they named the sousaphone after him.

I'm so glad I don't live in NY/NJ anymore! Had enough of that as a kid. It is no fun.
