Fla. teen injured in shooting at basketball court

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities say a teenager was injured by a gunshot while playing basketball at a park in Orlando.
Police say a man who was playing basketball was checking on a gun he had in his waistband and it accidentally fired about 5:15 p.m. Monday.
The 16-year-old was taken to the hospital in what police described as serious but stable condition.
Police say a large crowd had gathered around the basketball courts at Willie Mays Park when the shooting occurred. Witness accounts indicated the shooting was an accident.
The investigation is continuing. No further details were immediately available.
