T, can you please clarify what your point in this post is for me?

Thanks.

Well I have always been fairly sure Homosexuality is something that develops in childhood but this video makes a compelling case that it starts and continues from the womb. I like to put out information that makes me stop and examine my own thoughts. I figure someone else might benefit from it....At this point it seems more likely that due to hormones both natural and man-made in womens bodies some children are altered as they grow in the womb...I have seen salmon alter as they go to spawn because of hormonal changes so why not people..?

Okay. Roger that.

I have sometimes come across threads where you've said or posted things about homosexuality that I very passionately disagreed with, but because they were very aged (and even already relegated to the Hall of Shame, &c), I declined to bring them back to light or to comment on them.

Before I found that because I could just not tolerate all the drama that women can bring into a romantic relationship, I probably slept with more women than men. They're just so much more soft, pretty, yummy, delicious and beautiful than men are. But then, there are also inherent benefits that men bring to the table. Heh heh. Suspect At any rate, what I'm trying to say is that some of your past posts have offended me, which is why I inquired about this one. I am glad to read your explanation.

"Well I can get more women than a passenger train can haul...."

I can be very offensive..I am not politically correct just to keep the peace....I also can learn and accept and say I am wrong when I am...Sometimes on things like Abortion I go way past what is polite discussion to make my point as brutal as possible.
I guess because women have periods and miscarriages and deal with all that unusual plumbing they consider a baby just more of the same. Being a guy I can easily separate the baby as not a part of the mother before birth. It's not my body though but I am proud of a close friend that saved his son from a woman determined to abort him by helping her $ throughout the birth and still does..

Oh no, a baby isn't just more of the same. Not at all. Not to any woman with a heart. Being pregnant is very different and not at all like the regular monthly cycle. I have girl friends who have mourned greatly after a miscarriage. Anyway, there are plenty of men who are happy enough to get rid of "the problem" of their girlfriend's pregnancy by having their baby aborted.

For the record (and I think you know this), it is very difficult to offend me. I have a great deal of respect for a persons right to express his or her personal opinions, whether or not I agree with it. And I acknowledge that you know you can be offensive and disregard the BS "political correctness" crap, which I have little use for. I simply do not like, nor do I typically choose to argue about political issues because I have found in my life that it does not bring about change in people's opinions or perspectives. Only in ugliness and hard feelings.

I think we're clear.

One of my family after 5 kids just had a miscarriage and she went into a deep depression for a time to work through the loss...so yeah I know what you mean...

I agree with you wholeheartedly, Neko. I wasn't going to mention it, but I have miscarried before, once when I was married... It nearly destroyed me. Broke my heart beyond all belief or comprehension. I was never the same again.

Yeah we are clear...I don't like men near as much either so we already have something in common...It's late and I won't try to reword that... I will probably be hearing from Bob....

I believe that any woman who has any feeling or emotion or love in her heart who has felt her baby kick, seen the ultrasound picture of her baby, or heard her baby's heartbeat--would never abort her baby except under the most extreme circumstances. Even under the most extreme circumstances, the instinct would be there (in a normal woman) to save the baby. Of course, these are just my own personal thoughts on the issue. And I think it's why the pro-choice people fight so hard against laws that require things like a mandatory ultrasound before an abortion.

Men have a way of looking at things differently than women. Not that either way is right or wrong...it's just different. I love the way men think, the way they want to solve problems.
Sometimes I tell my husband something about a problem I have or a decision I need to make, expecting him to fix it or help me with it. But sometimes I tell him something and tell him that I don't want him to fix it or expect him to fix it--I just want him to listen to me. And I know what he's thinking---Why the hell tell me about it if you don't want me to fix it or suggest a fix for it? LOL.

For the same reason he needs to tell you about the big fish that broke the line, the flat tire he got on the way home or the Harley Davidson with a doberman in the side car. It's important to him.

Of course it broke your heart. A child who was closer to you than anyone on earth....died. You never get over it, but you do get past it.

I'm very pleased that you found this video and very pleased by your reaction to it.

I would only offer one comment to you. And that's about your statement "I have always been fairly sure Homosexuality is something that develops in childhood but this video makes a compelling case that it starts and continues from the womb".

I had not ever heard of what the video is calling "birth order". Which is that with each successive birth, the womb builds a defense against a male fetus and that results in giving the fetus feminine characteristics or homosexuality. That's an interesting discovery.

But that was not all this video revealed. The video makes the case for three causes of homosexuality...

A 4 minute 42 second homosexual education... Genes10

and it informed us that "when one identical twin is homosexual, the other identical twin is homosexual up to 70% of the time". And this is the case even when identical twins are the first born to a mother so the "birth order" is not what determines that.

The best information we have right now is that there are multiple factors involved in what determines homosexuality.
BUT, what the video also made clear is that two things are not true. One, that people sit down one day and say to themselves "I'm gonna CHOOSE to be queer cause it sounds like so much fun and it will piss off republicans and fundamentalists and Brother Carl and the WEBY audience". Or that people can be switched from queer to "normal" by a tv evangelist or other preacher laying his hands on them and saying "heal".
It's now pretty certain that those two ideas are just bullshit.

I'm so sorry, Rice. I have been blessed in that I have never had a miscarriage. But both my babies, including my first born who wasn't exactly planned--from the moment I knew that I was pregnant with them- I loved them and I felt a bond with them. I'm not a person who's prone to depression, but I don't know how I would have handled a miscarriage. Or like a couple of my friends...multiple miscarriages.

"Most extreme circumstances"...that's the reason for the law as it stands...rape, incest or the mother's health. In my view, mandatory ultrasound is just another way to try and intimidate a woman (or girl) who is pregnant through no fault of her own. I believe in counseling, but I also believe the ultimate choice is between the person and her physician in these "extreme" cases. Especially in the case of rape.

On miscarriages...women, especially those who are pregnant for the first time, tend to blame themselves, when many times the fetus is not viable and would never have come to term. This is much more common than most people know. It just happens.

I have never heard of that birth order dealio either, Bob, and I've taken gender and queer studies courses at university... Might be interesting to do a little research on it though.

I thought T was yanking our chains when he posted this video and that I was gonna hafta throw down my purse and throw up my dukes. Glad that wasn't the case. Suspect

Thanks, Bob. Interesting, but I'm still not sold. I'm gonna have to read some of the references at the bottom of the article, all of which save one are dated after I graduated from university, likely explaining why I never heard of this phenomenon in my queer and gender studies courses.
