I truly believe that fractals are the key to the universe and the nature of all things.
Fractals are detailed patterns that keep repeating themselves and if you look closely you can see them everywhere.
I have a documentary on fractals and I have watched it several times and could just watch it again. It literally blew me away.
Fractals can be found anywhere, from waves that crash in the ocean, to leaves on a tree, to tree branches, mountains, snowflakes, everything.
But what I wonder is why everything fractals. I can't explain what I am trying to say well enough. But fractals are amazing and they deeply interest me.
You can even see fractals in deep space, in galaxies, supernovas etc.
I think they are the key to the universe.

your going to have to educate me on fractals.

You mean like in space everything is a pyramid. < would that be an example of fractals?

Yes actually, I think a pyramid would be an example of fractals.
I know there is a lot of math involved and I have dyscalculia (means it is like math dyslexia -) so I do not understand nor can explain the mathematical side but it is very mathematical as are the pyramids. They had to do math to make those things. I wonder if they used algebra to do it. I never thought about pyramids being fractals. There is a famous Japanese painting that shows fractals in the waves. Let me see if I can find it.
You are on the right track. Good going!

Look here:

Pyramid fractals

Fractals are the nature of all things 9010

You see how they keep repeating themselves? Go outside and get a leaf. Look at how the veins in the leaves keep repeating themselves.

hmm interesting, then skin could be a fractal. or any cells, you might could even say the body is put together with multiple fractals.

am I getting off the idea of fractals?

You're right - cells could be fractals - anything in the body is made up of fractals. I never even thought the body could be made of fractals but you are right: surface of the brain, membranes, blood vessels - all fractals. So you have the right idea and understand it.

There's the link on human body fractals.

Yep, there ya go. That's the key that opens the universe. I need to find that Japanese painting. It's very famous one.

I had a really cool tshirt with fractal images on both front and back that I got at a Dead concert. My stepson pilfered it, and I never saw it again. I miss that shirt.

Hmmm didn't think about that but computers are 0's and 1's so....and I think they keep repeating themselves.

actually I did do that last night.
And that reminds me, back in the analogue TV days, there were 525 lines for NTSC color system and if you looked really closely at the TV you could see the lines.
The Basics

http://hometheater.about.com/cs/television/a/aavideoresa.htm

A television or recorded video image is basically made up of scan lines. Unlike film, in which the whole image is projected on a screen at once, a video image is composed of rapidly scanning lines across a screen starting at the top of the screen and moving to bottom. These lines can be displayed in two ways. The first way is to split the lines into two fields in which all of the odd numbered lines are displayed first and then all of the even numbered lines are displayed next, in essence, producing a complete frame. This process is called interlacing or interlaced scan.
