Mr. Bone Spurs has got his sorry nose so far up the Military's asz to prove that he is now a tough guy........but we will pay the bill. At what point does the senate stop this mad man........et tu Brutus....., they have abdicated our democracy as this funding should NEVER be approved by the senate.

Trump honoring the military with a parade.....please.  Sixty years or sending our military to not defend America, but to police the world and protect the status quo.  I was able to watch huge military parades in the fifties as our nation had actually been at war with nations who attacked us.....not bombing and killing people in some near third world countries who suddenly were made to be a threat to America by the corrupt Saudi Arabian Monarchy and the Israelis who have enjoyed relative peace as we killed millions and put our children into a meat grinder.  You honor the military with peace.  Never ending war mongering is not honorable, and being a prop for a fascist propaganda moment is not what happens in a democracy.  You are right in one regard, we spend almost 125 million on the blue angels and another hundred million on the airforce bread and circus for militarization do what is a measly 100 million......yep we have lost our minds, and the D students are running the nut house.

He finally gave up the parade idea. Basically, somebody finally had the guts to tell him it was an idiotic, embarrassing, 90-some-million-dollar idea that would just make him look like a weak idiot, so he got on Twitter and admitted it's too expensive (which he blames on the rest of Washington, of course) so he says he's cancelling it.

The only countries who need to parade their military around are weak countries who need to do a lot of posturing. The United States isn't one of those countries. We currently have a president who is weak and insecure and his entire act is a bunch of posturing, but that doesn't mean we have to make the rest of us complicit in it. So it's a good thing somebody got through to weak-ass Donnie Daddyddidn'tloveme and convinced him to back down, finally. That's at least one expensive embarrassment the country was spared.

Not quite, I'm afraid. I just read that the parade has been delayed until 2019.

We need to quit making excuses why this fascist should be rationalized....he is simply evil, and has no redeeming characteristics.

By 2019 he can use the excuse that Congress will block him, because he's not going to have a majority anymore... then he can whine that "Democrats are unpatriotic" or whatever. It's typical shit to pacify his cult of dullards.

Basically, the soybean thing is turning out a whole lot worse than Trump figured on, and if he wastes $90-some million dollars on some hinky parade to honor himself when farmers are losing everything they worked for, that'd be seriously bad optics. So he's just trying to kick that parade can down the road until he can cry that somebody else took it away from him.

Soybean prices are in the toilet and still finding lower ground. Trump has destroyed the American Farmer who had worked over the last forty years to expand markets, only to have this idiot show his weak under belly to the world who is proceeding to gut the American farmer.....so right now I can tell you without any hesitation that Illinois farmers are piszed......Trump will NOT win the Republican primary in Iowa. This will start a quick landslide where Trump will lose in the Republican primary......Iowa and NH republicans have had enough, and it will be too late by the time he gets to the South Carolina where the dixiecrat haters have taken over the Republican Party....Midwest Republicans in Iowa, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Illinois are done with Trump. It sounds like a socialist proposal for more worker input in corporations doing one billion a year. Your lack of understanding of political concepts is tedious, but that bill is NOT a fascist bill......it is a socialist bill.....you know the people who hate socialist and post "the truth is not the truth" Pure socialism.

Except it doesn't fully nationalize... it's the "third way" whether you can admit it or not.

Socialism is a spectrum from trade unionism to communism. This almost falls into traditional values of trade unionism with its focus. However, I like the movement to expand the discussion in response to fascism. I also like the idea of the people who built a company having some input. I saw Emerson Electric steal a factory and move it to Mexico and China, and the workers who perfected that product going all the way back to the 1920s had zero say. So I would not be adverse to some members of workers serving on corporate boards, but 40% is too much. Let the debate begin.

Workers have had representation on corporate boards since at least the mid-70s in Germany and they seem to be doing okay--better than us in some ways.

The Germans put high value on manufacturing and understand that the German worker getting paid much more than American auto workers over the last thirty years was an investment which was a multiplier as productivity is near record levels. Trade unionism and socialism in western Europe is not a radical movement and capitalist flourish in this environment.
