A former Santa Rosa County school bus driver faces more child-sex charges after photos found while executing a search warrant showed him in explicit poses with a child, authorities said.
The abuse allegedly happened when Lee Pardue, 43, was babysitting at his home in Milton. According to his arrest report, pictures were taken with both Pardue and the infant being naked.
A search warrant, executed the day of Pardue’s arrest, also yielded photos of Pardue possibly acting inappropriately with other children who have not yet been identified, the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office said.
Pardue, who ran an unsuccessful campaign for the Santa Rosa County Commission in 2002, was originally arrested Nov. 2 on a warrant for allegedly abusing a child he met while driving a school bus between August 2011 and May.
He now faces more counts, including two counts of sexual battery on a victim younger than 12, two counts of promoting a sexual performance of a child and two counts of possession of child pornography. He is in the Santa Rosa County Jail, being held on $6.11 million bond.
Assistant State Attorney James Parker said the investigation is continuing, and it is possible more charges will follow.
The Sheriff’s Office is asking for anyone who may have left their children in the care of Pardue to call 983-1230.
