Ha. Doubt it.  Maybe I'll share it with her when she gets back home.

Only thing is, that's a major insult to the male appendix.

2.3 billion people still do not have basic sanitation facilities such as toilets or latrines.

Of these, 892 million still defecate in the open, for example in street gutters, behind bushes or into open bodies of water.

At least 10% of the world’s population is thought to consume food irrigated by wastewater.

Poor sanitation is linked to transmission of diseases such as cholera, diarrhoea, dysentery, hepatitis A, typhoid and polio.

Inadequate sanitation is estimated to cause 280 000 diarrhoeal deaths annually and is a major factor in several neglected tropical diseases, including intestinal worms, schistosomiasis, and trachoma.

Poor sanitation also contributes to malnutrition.

These photos were taken after the recent hurricane that blew through. Looks like Houston or Puerto Rico after the storm.

And what's your point? That people from Haiti can't develop, assimilate and contribute to America because they're from a poor, third world country?

And no Norwegian in his or her right mind would give-up a median yearly income in excess of $96,000, free education and free medical care, plus 1 month family vacations each year, to live in this dysfunctional, racist, and unjust economy that's rigged for the rich to steal from the poor, a healthcare system that doesn't work for shit, an upper educational system priced for wealthy kids only, an army that's fighting in 76 countries and winning in none of them, and a president who's bonkers emotionally and psychologically.

Why in hell would a Norwegian ever consider coming here? Talk about shithole countries!!!

Lighten up, dude!  I had no point.  Just a bit of humor.

and I promise you .... Donald Trump is neither the first nor the last person to use the phrase "shithole country"    No worries though, everyone will get over it soon enough and doubtless the media will be moving on soon enough to tell us of what fresh new outrage we all need to rend our clothes and gnash our teeth about next week.

A couple of ya'll are really fucking stupid. Like, profoundly. Sorry, but I'm out of patience.

The issue is not that Trump called countries "shitholes." The issue is that he doesn't want to take immigrants from countries he deems to be "shitholes."

There's a big difference, and please tell me you're not too goddamned dumb to see that. I know Pkr is, but I've given up on Pkr. We've all got stuff stuck between the treads of our sneakers worth more than that shitsmear.

Whatever your opinion of Haiti or Norway, you've got to see that the worthiness of the individual isn't dependent on where they're from. It doesn't matter if Haiti's a poor country when we're talking about immigrating people.

Trump calling other countries names is impolitic and it's dumb for a president to do, but that's not the problem -- the problem is that he wants preferred immigration based on country-of-origin, rather than the merit of the individual in question. Being from Norway is not an achievement. Being from Haiti is not a detriment.

Forget the word "shithole" for a minute. It's distracting you. If Trump had just said, "Why are we taking all these immigrants from Africa and Haiti? We need more people from Norway," it's still just as racist and just as stupid. The "shithole" word is not the problem.

And also quit pretending this is "merit-based" anything. When you talk about countries instead of individuals, you're completely torpedoing any pretense that it's about merit, because every country has its geniuses, and every country has its useless criminal types. "Norway" or "Haiti" are not factors in that question.

So ... what you're saying here, as I understand, is we should focus more on the sh*ttiness of the individuals we are contemplating allowing to immigrate to the US .... regardless of what sh*thole country they come from?

Okay! I can go along with that. Cool

Great, we were all hoping you'd reach that conclusion. You're exactly right. What matters is the individual's character, not his or her skin color or nation of origin.

It seems they can honestly say they don't recall dotard saying shithole. This is likely because the word he used was shithouses and not shitholes. Yes there are geniuses in every country like Obama and there are useless criminal types in every country like dotard and his family. We need to isolate the criminals and those that enable them and treat them like the cancer that they are.

So, while the debate over whether 45 said one derogatory word or another or neither goes on he is now reported to have been on the phone and talking to people at his resort in Florida bragging about the use of the s...hole term. Reports say he is claiming it will endear him to his base. Sadly I think he is more racist than at least a few in his most devoted base and you can't win an election with 30% of the vote.

Then to put another dollop of ugliness on these last few days he speaks to cameras and reporters telling them he is the least racist person they will ever meet, I can tell you that. OMG

In summary, for those who don't keep up with Trump's tweeting indiscretions and racist declarations, all of us by now know that he's a) a racist b) a misogynist, c) unaware and uninterested in governmental operation and the details of foreign policy, d) narcissistic, e) dangerously egoistic and childlike in disputes with foreign leaders, f) emotionally and psychologically unstable and g)
sans dignity, compassion, or empathy or, in simpler terms, he's simply unsuited to be President of the United States.

I believe this to be true.

Nobody really cares about the "shithole" remark except a few liberal snowflakes who didn't vote Trump anyway & would never vote Republican, so .... no great loss for Trump there.    And even with them, it's obvious to most it's really kind of a faux outrage and will be mostly forgotten about by the end of the week.

Here's my opinion on the whole "shithole" remark controversy summed up in one emoji:    Rolling Eyes

Frankly, the term "shithole country" is not all that uncommon.  Un-presidential? ..... yes, But beyond-the-pale?   Well, no.   I've heard places referred to as "shitholes" all my life ... and not just with regard to foreign countries.

Poll: Republicans' satisfaction with nation’s direction highest in decade

Republicans' satisfaction with the direction of the U.S. is at its highest point since 2007, according to a new poll.

A Gallup poll finds that 61 percent of Republicans are satisfied with the direction of the country.

One in four Republicans say they are very satisfied, and 36 percent say they are somewhat satisfied.

And if you look at the comments for the above article, you find this gem:

"Yet every country with a better quality of life is more liberal and socialist than the USA. The 15 or so countries with better population health statuses all have some degree of a national universal social health care delivery (and most get those outcomes at half the cost of the US system). There is a very big difference between the democratic socialism in the Netherlands, UK, and Canada than the socialism that destroyed a country like Venezuela."

othershoe1030

othershoe1030

In the meantime Trump has taken over the news cycle and masterfully deflected any questions about the outcome of his first real physical Friday.

One further observation about his s...hole comment is that while his base may not care and the reaction of so-called snowflakes doesn't matter it has been noticed by foreign governments, especially those included in his remarks.

Unfortunately he is not just the stupid drunk at the end of the bar pontificating to all within earshot; he is unfortunately the spokesman and current symbol of our country. This is not normal. This is not normal. This is not normal.

And it wasn't socialism that created havoc in Venezuela, but the entrenched oligarchy and foreign opposition.

Ergo, the tens of millions of Americans trying to emigrate to those places .... illegally even if they have to. Rolling Eyes

Ever heard the term "Eurotrash"? I wonder if Trump's used that one? Laughing
