James gets his stats.....does not play defense.......disrupts any kind of coach's offense. It is bull rush mailman offense....the mailman had the second highest points and was a great player.....but top 10.....nope. I cannot get by James and his defense to put him in the top 10 players......as scotty said .....if winning is important.....james would not be the choice.

If i made a goat team... James would certainly come off the bench. I could even see him used at the end of the game on the offensive end. I think that he's had the ability to be in the goat starting lineup... but he's never been utilized properly imo. If not for two miracle shots he would only have one title. That just moves the mailman down the bench one spot.

Hilarious. Everything I have been saying for five years is being proven true. No defense, and ball hogging take all the air from team play. They were even at the start of the fourth, and James was cramping and the Cavs played team ball and got eight points up without james.......it is so obvious, but after a decade of absolutely NO talent in the East, a Pacers team which was suppose to be a lottery pick is taking James to a seventh game. I would not put him any higher than the mailman. If the mailman's game was in existence during a decade long drought of talent.....he would be higher than James in my opinion.

Toronto played like they did not want to win the first game. They outplayed the cavs for 4 quarters. Sad when a team goes mental.

Toronto took 11 shots in the fourth quarter and did not make one. I will give James credit. He owns Toronto.

Taking long fade away 2 pointers is a losing strategy. A set 3 is smarter.

If you do not think a good coach makes a difference in the Playoffs, just look at Brad Stevens.....he is bedrock, and he gets the most out of his players.

And his players think highly of him.

I think the biggest tell was James not coming out in the 4th quarter when they were up over 20 points, trying to run up stats.....disgusting. As good of a player as he is, he will never breaking into my top five. He claims he is tired. Yet, he only needed two more rebounds to get a triple double........and after the announcers made a big deal......he finally came out.

Boston played good team ball on both ends of the court. What a pleasure to see what young players with a good GM and coach can do with players to implement team play. James has spent a career disrupting team play. He gets his, but he simply cannot win to be considered a top five player. If James had great coaching and was willing to be coached, he would have five rings right now and could still be going forward. He has not played defense for almost five years, and now he does not even run down to the other end. This whole Jordan to James is absurd. He needed coaching his entire career.

What was most impressive to me was the stark contrast. The cavs literally relied on an isolation offense... and the celts contained that w man d. They rarely had to switch for picks or passes. And the cav d is awful. How many times can lebron be dribbled by and forcing his teammates to pick up the slack? He needs to be covering the #4... #3 at worst.

Agree. I was arguing when he was with Miami that folks were getting the first step on him and blowing by. What is funny to anybody who knows basketball is listening to so called experts saying what a great defensive play James made after his player blows by him and he trails and traps the ball on the board......incredible that they are in the broadcast booth. I had coaches who would have thrown a towel at me for that kind of defense. The Young
celtics are moving their feet and staying between their man and the basket. I am so tired about hearing about King James when he does not even bother to run back on defense now. For five years it has been all about his stats. Again he is a great basketball player and an incredible human being, but does anybody have the courage to simply say the king has no clothes. He has packed his teams with talent for about the last eight years of his career, and all it has shown is that he destroys teams. He could still win this series because Boston is thin with the injuries, but next year they will be incredible. I was a real fan of Stevens when he coached Butler. He has an intuitive sense regarding basketball and an honest concern for every one of his players. He is especially good developing players. Jackson took a couple years of coaching Jordan to improve his game. I am convinced Jordan never would have reached his greatness without the guidance of Jackson. As Pippen said if you wanted to win......the answer is simple.

I only caught the fourth quarter...cavs were awful.

I thght the cavs were going to play it smart at first. They fed the ball in low to love and he scored twice and picked up a foul on Horford... but then they just went into isolation one on one offense. The celts bench is suspect because of injuries. I just don't get it. It's like they had a solid plan... then it got called off.

Hell... they could even post James.... but he's lingering twenty feet out.

The Warriors are a very special team. They have just dominated Houston. Iso ball is all about stats. Team play is all about winning. Al Hoford and Green both do not get the stats.....they just win.

The Cavs are simply a horrible defensive team.....all the glory of James and his offensive prowess cannot hide that he does not play a lick of defense anymore.

I still don't get why the cavs aren't pounding it inside. The celts bigs are thin. Get them in foul trouble and it's game over.

Just saw that the celts took 42 uncontested shots vs 11 for the cavs... lol. Unbelievable.

Seaoat, you have been right all along. James does not play defense. When he does it's when somebody runs by him otherwise he's in one position. The Cavs gave up last night.

It has been since his Miami days that his defense got worse. He was always a marginal defensive player. I noticed everybody who was not a big was getting that first step on him. He has adjusted trying to defend from behind, but that is a huge tell that he is either getting slower, getting lazy, or everybody else has become quicker. A little truth in all of those.

Just watched the rocket win from last night. Way too much standing around on offense for gsw... too little ball movement. They just seemed to settle for jumpers or let kd iso create his own shot... ala lebron. Didn't see any fire in their belly for this game. Strange... were they complacent to have just won one in Houston? Bad mindset if so... not what champions do. On a positive note... I didn't want to see a gsw sweep and then sit around for a week waiting for the east team to emerge.

I think cavs are pretty much a lock to win game 3. Celts haven't impressed me much on the road. But I think celts w win game 4 and close at home. 4-1
