I hear little 1% Baron was scared shitless. Bet it's the top selling mask next Halloween.

zsomething

Kathy Griffin is an idiot. Every year around Xmas I send CNN a note, begging them not to use her for New Year's anymore. She's painfully unfunny.

But, that story about Barron screaming and being traumatized because he thought that was really his daddy's head is laughable hogwash. The Trumpketeers are trying to use that poor kid for their own ends. Barron doesn't seem to be the brightest kid in the world, but he's eleven, not three -- I doubt he saw that picture at all, but if he did there's no way he "thought that was his dad." They're acting like he's a toddler or something. An eleven-year old isn't an idiot, he'd know what was going on. I'm sure he didn't like it -- hell, I didn't either, and I can't stand Trump -- but I don't buy that "he thought it was really his dad's head" bullshit for a minute, and I don't think the people using him for this charade actually believe it either.

It's a slippery slope to begin measuring "free" speech. I don't mind it... i just want one set of standards.

True enough but I guess at eleven he's still to young for dear old dad to sit him down and explain the facts of fake news to him.

CNN's already saved you the trouble of writing that note this year.

I think she's trashed her career--for a while anyway--which is a shame because that stunt might be one of the best things she's ever done.

I wonder if any of her people warned her it would be a bad career move. I don't think it was funny. If it was a Trump impersonator and she was grabbing him by his tally wacker, now that would be funny. They did worse than that that to Obama. Remember the religious TV special with the Obama look alike playing the devil? How about W's head on the end of a spear in an early Game of Thrones episode, remember that?

Her stunt was over the top and she's apologized, which is more than I can say for entertainers who threatened and insulted Obama.

That being said I'm SO glad she won't be on the New Year's Eve show. What could be considered entertaining about a potty mouth comedian teasing a gay guy and making him giggle all night? Really? People found that funny? I just thought it was awkward and so worn out year after year.

I like Cooper in his normal habitat but not with that redhead. good riddance!

I can see watching CNN but on New Years Eve? Yuck!

So now that president cancer is talking about little Stewie being horrified at the sight of his ugly puss is it okay to talk about the little bastard now? Or was big daddy just trying to play the kiddie card? Twisted Evil

That certainly wasn't "over the top", it was perfectly legitimate expression of opinion. "Over the top" implies that some speech is so offensive that it is in a different category from other, "under the top" speech. THAT VERY NOTION GUTS THE MEANING OF FREE SPEECH. INOFFENSIVE SPEECH DOESN'T NEED PROTECTION!!!

By apologizing she lost any respect for moral integrity she might have had as an entertainer or artist. She may as well have rolled over on her back like a puppy dog and begged for a belly rub from her master. She's a pitiful, disgraceful, gutless whore who folded like a wet tent at the first stiff breeze.

I never thought she was funny and this latest stunt didn't change my mind about that. Nor did I find it offensive. Maybe she can become a republican. Remember how Ted Cruz and Willard Romney jumped through hoops to please their new master in the White House. Laughing

Would you tell us who the entertainers are that threatened Obama, like Griffin emulated the beheading of President Trump. You seem to be insinuating it was just a minor incident. Even though it is seen as a disgrace across the country and by both parties

It sure did cost Griffin big bucks with the loss of multiple contracts.

LOL it is a minor incident except for Faux News and the bitter, frustrated Banshees that receive their marching orders from that arm of pravda.

No, "over the top" is the opposite of "a minor incident."Griffen said nothing. It was a visual statement. Nugent is two for one in that he aimed at President Obama and Hillary.

Ted Nugent -- the proud gun-owner, poorly coiffed Michigander, and washed-up rocker -- has said some silly and offensive things in the past, and not just while performing "Cat Scratch Fever." In 2007, he said the following during a concert: "Obama, he's a piece of shit. I told him to suck on my machine gun. Hey Hillary [Clinton], you might want to ride one of these into the sunset, you worthless bitch."

So that's his level of political discourse. Of course, he seems to be speaking figuratively if distastefully. But he made another rather appalling statement over the weekend at the NRA convention in St. Louis:

If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will be either be dead or in jail by this time next year.
He also recommends decapitating Democrats: "We need to ride onto that battlefield and chop their heads off in November."
(The folks brandishing rifles in the background of the video above add another element of surrealism to the proceeding.)

Again, it's hard to take this as a literal threat of assassination against the president, but how else would Nugent have us understand it? It goes without saying that comments like this have no place in politics. Indeed, the Secret Service tells New York that they're investigating his statement (not that they don't have other things to worry about at the moment. Nugent will likely end up with a slap on the wrist, if that).

https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2012/04/quote-of-the-day-ted-nugent-threatens-barack-obama/256025/

As recently as January, he called for both Obama and Clinton to “be tried for treason & hung.” (Just months later, Trump would find himself mired in controversy over a comment widely interpreted as a barely veiled, violent threat against Clinton.)
And in years past, Nugent has told President Obama (who he has dubbed a “piece of shit” and a “subhuman mongrel”) to “suck my tiger dick,” and to also “suck on my machine gun.”

Troubled Creed frontman Scott Stapp believes he is a CIA agent tasked with killing President Obama, his panicked family told a 911 dispatcher.

Just after he returned home from a 72-hour psych hold in Florida, the rocker fled his house, prompting his wife and sister-in-law to call cops and beg for another commitment, according to newly released 911 tapes obtained by TMZ.

Even if you can discount the stuff Ted Nugent said about Hillary and Obama (and that's pretty impossible to do), I'm wondering why Trump would allow a notorious child-molester into the White House. Nugent has a big history of that. He tried to get custody of a 13-year-old once so he could keep having sex with her. And he's got several anthems to sex with children. "Girl Scout Cookies"... well, that ain't actually about Girl Scout cookies, folks. And then there's this homage to boinking 13-year-olds:

"Wait a minute, officer, don't put those handcuffs on me! Put 'em on her, and I'll share her with you!"

Yeah, that's what Trump invited into his White House to pose for pictures. Not too bright.

There's a longish article that goes with this image and it's worth a read since First Amendment issues are addressed. Here's the link, if you're interested:

I fully agree with all those who regard Griffin's Trump-head stunt as one being an awesome symbol of bad taste. My only regret is the head wasn't real.

I saw Nugent in a private setting once and he was a distasteful person. You could tell he was very shallow.

He really did say that but to be honest the quote wasn't about Nugent. He showed his approval of pedophile Nugent by inviting him to our White House. Don't forget that disgraced republican pedophile Mark Foley had this to say about the fake president after being spotted at one of his nazi rallies in Florida last summer, "He's been a friend of mine for 30 years and one of my biggest contributors," The quote was about yet another one of president cancer's pedophile friends.

Mark Foley? Which one is he?

Is he the foot-tapper in the Men's room guy or was that Larry Craig, the 3-term Republican Senator who voted against every gay rights bill ever?

Is the Republican Representative who voted against every gay rights proposal and then got outed because of his relationship with his male chief-of-staff or was that David Drier?

Is he the Representative who called on Clinton to resign then got caught in an adulterous affair with the wife of his best friend and had to resign himself. No, that was John Ensign.

Is he the Republican Representative from Tennessee who ran on a pro-life platform and later admitted that his wife had had two abortions, his mistress have one and, while he was the physician at a medical center, he had affairs with patients and staff or was that Scott DesJarlais?

I can't keep 'em all straight anymore.

Oops, "straight" may have been a bad word choice.
