They are not wealthy people. The expense of their travel, food and lodging is substantial and for them to be compensated seems appropriate.

I do not think it was a sham.   They investigated.  They found no criminal intent and no crimes.  However, for you to suggest we are a third world country where a strong dictator will put political opponents in jail is just naive and not knowledgeable.   Nothing more or less.   In a democracy where our founding fathers put checks and balances in the system, the idea that the President is going to initiate a criminal indictment by influencing an Attorney General brings back vivid memories of President Nixon's melt down, and the firing of AG's who refused his orders.   Your really need to learn the statutes and what is required to meet all the required elements of a criminal case.   You have been consistently wrong, and to suggest career folks in the FBI and Justice would close their eyes if the elements were met........not one scintilla of proof of that innuendo.   Just be honest with yourself.  You are for Trump.
Gumby there doesn't have to be criminal intent when dealing with information of a classified nature. Read the laws and statutes. Putting America at risk is intent ( inadvertently or not) is the crime itself. If Hillary can't handle the job an E-1 in the military can do, she is unfit to be president.

Yet even the FBI found deleted work and classified emails that she didn't turn over (also illegal). It's a sham... blatant corruption and collusion. The only people that can't see that are suffering from conditioned partisan blindness. Everyone knows that were the party affiliations reversed... so would be their position.

The people in the FBI who investigated this are smarter than you, they're more experienced than you, they're more knowledgeable than you, they had access to considerably more information than you, and there was an entire team of them; and after spending a full year investigating Clinton's email server..."No reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case."

So if no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case, who does that leave to bring such a case?  I guess that would be unreasonable white male under-educated republicans.   Right, PkrBum? I mean, you don't even know where the line between legal and illegal rests, and yet you're confidently stating your opinion on such matters.

Trump needs to go to jail with his use of the foundation money for personal use. The NY AG will bring criminal charges, but will wait until after the election....just like Trump suggested, but the difference is it will have nothing to do with Hillary......just the obvious breach of the law not once, but repeatedly.
