The big ten was overrated all year. If Penn State and Wisconsin lose, it is a wipe out..... Nebraska lost also. Driving through Alabama listening to sports radio was hilarious......the fans were bitching about everything.....I did not see the game, but it sounded like Alabama's defense won the game.

Over all 2 depressing games yesterday. I was shocked Ohio state allowed a shut out....but there offensive line could not hold Clemson.

I wonder how this might affect the title game? Rumors have it that Lane Kiffin was distracted during Bama's playoff game, making some irregular calls.

He is now going to shift his focus to FAU, where he is the new heat coach.

Privately, Saban was worried Kiffin already had one foot out the door before the Crimson Tide played Washington in Saturday's CFP semifinal at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl in Atlanta. He worried that Kiffin was spending too much time assembling his coaching staff and recruiting players for his new school. Kiffin had coaching candidates flying to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, for interviews during the holiday break before the Peach Bowl, and then he and new Owls offensive coordinator Kendal Briles interviewed more candidates in Atlanta last week.

Essentially, Kiffin was fired.... This could make the final game a bit more interesting!

I must be the exception. I would rather watch a high school football game, or an NFL game even though I have pretty much not been following the NFL this year for the first time since I was a kid. It was fun for me to follow every Auburn game when Cam was playing. My entire family was Auburn fans with my grandmother going to her first game with her father at 14, but even then.....I just never got into college football games. A title company I was associated with had a yearly party at University of Illinois with this huge tailgate party where we would go with the kids. I never could get into it, the food was good, the conversation better, but the quality of college football just was not the pros. Now going to a Bear game, a Blackhawk game, or a Bull game. Entirely a different experience because you are watching the best in the world, and not who prioritized football over academics playing weaker teams. Ohio, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Michigan, USC Nebraska, and Penn State just pile so many resources into their football programs, it becomes easy to recruit the best. I did enjoy watching Western Michigan play the David to Goliath this year, but honestly even watching those games just did not float my boat. I listened to some sports radio out of Mobile, and to the exclusion of everything else, sports is simply football. A strange animal for somebody who grew up with pro hockey, pro football, pro baseball, and pro basketball. It is similar to how people voted in this election. Rural America gets into college football. Even in downstate Illinois, but in Urban centers they are spoiled watching the best. I mean I have never in my life seen sports coverage like on Channel 3 Pensacola.....it is like when I lived in Mexico......a complete culture shock.

I am watching the game because the NBA OK vs Bulls has been blacked out, but I must say I have enjoyed a pretty good football game. Alabama's defensive front could start on most NFL teams.
