Last I heard the RNC was planning on passing a new rule for this convention that basically let the delegates vote "their conscience" and not vote for Trump if he's done or said anything that they strongly disagreed with or that did not support the party platform.

Yes, for crying out loud Bob the head bananas in the Republican party have been falling all over themselves in disbelief that a crook, swindler and con man like Trump could likely be their candidate for the presidency this go-round. So Yes, I guess you could say that even right-wingers are a "little skeptical about Trump". LOL

The GOP powers that be (I'm really weary of the overused word "establishment" can't control Trump. That's another reason they fear him.

You have to vote, amendment 2 ring a bell?

I get it, Bob.

You're an idiot.

It took you longer than most on this forum......Bob tries so hard to be king lear's fool, sadly the only part he has down is the fool part, but he actually believes he is playing that role.

Don't worry, this is the most important vote of my life. As a terminal cancer patient I'm going to need the stuff.
But I may just forego the president crap. The choice between more of the same old horseshit, and a potential mussollini, is not really a choice I want to make.

So you've decided to be a Trump inpersonator too. lol
"Idiot", "fool", sounds like a Trump stump speech when he's trashing Clinton.

But of course to be fair,  Clinton calls Trump a fool too.
For the last few days that's all either of them has been doing.  One saying what a crook and idiot the other one is.
This is going to be exponentially the worst negative campaign ever.  And we still have four more months of it to have to stomach.  Will this fucking election never end.

Bob.....don't take it personal.....go to the general discussion area....I am now convinced I died last year and I have found hell. Donald Trump......and people trying to rationalize the same......weather that makes hell look like a vacation.....idiocy which is so pervasive.......I actually would like to make a school visit now that I have determined I have died and this is groundhog day, and actually see what they are teaching folks to kill so many brain cells......as I watched a camoflauged pick up truck with a huge flag set up in the bed of the truck.....yep lucifer.....Donald Trump is better than Hillary, and movie experts in the panhandle think that no good movies existed before 1980 and that there is no reason to watch the godfather movies.....and Hallmark is piszed at me again for being truthful......I only wish I could have helped the mob run Studer out of town on a rail......maybe I could have gone to heaven, and been sitting by a meadow under a tree on the islands.....nope......hell and groundhog day combined.....I cannot wait to the sun rises.

Well duh. Exactly, the big wigs fear Trump because they can't control him. That's the point. He is running as an "outsider" and you can't get much more "outside" than running as someone who has never held any elected office of any kind. Now That's outside!

Another reason they are so freaked out is because he is running under Their banner and they didn't give it to him, he took it. What this means is he is branding all Republican candidates down ballot with his total irresponsible incendiary rants (and tweets!!).

There has never been a campaign where the winner of the party's nominating process did not enjoy the true support of the party leaders. They are being eaten up by a character of their own making. Maybe now they will see the problems of creating such extreme views and promoting such pig-headiness among their congressional members. The whole "silent majority" and Tea Party movements have led them to this point and they are about to go over the cliff. Hopefully, as SeaOat has mentioned, a new less crazy and more realistic conservative party will emerge from all this.
