In the following story, a Florida cop is reprimanded for slugging a handcuffed prisoner at the jail. Fired, he will now face a hearing to determine if he can work for another police department.
What the hell ... a brutalizing cop shouldn't have his whole career ruined just because of beating a cuffed prisoner, no more than a priest should lose his career just because he molested children ... right? Evidently this is the American way -- you slap the wrist and send them to a new church or PD station. Right?
Same with CIA and military torturers .... just reassign them. Nobody will complain, right?
