Whew...it's taken time to shake some of the brainwashing but you can do it folks...you can do it.

Seaoat and FLTX...

Don't you feel that as a baby boomer we were force fed some things about America and in defense of America?  While I did not practice nuclear attack drills, my sister did in elementary school in the early 1960s. Why make kids think the Communist were going to bomb us?  As far as history tells me America has flown and dropped that payload.

I'm patriotic.  I love my America's foundation.  However, when everything is covered in the red, white, and blue isn't that brainwashing?

I love my family.  I've lived a fairly conservative life (not speaking politics but just the way I do things - I'm not lavish) However, in the early 90s when I had small children there was a "brainwashing" set forth by Focus on the Family that all things had to be one man, one woman, 2.5 children, a cat, a dog, and a minivan.

I am spiritual.  However, I had to walk away from brainwashing that is propagated in the pulpits of NW Florida.  Not all churches, mind you, but so many fundamental rules keeping churches.

How has any of this moved us forward?  It has not.  We have all experienced the ultra conservative politics based on this brainwashing.  I, for one, have rejected it.

Mind you I'm still conservative but I am free thinking.  So many fear leaving the brainwashing. It's legalistic bull crap and also politically splintering to the country.

Who has brainwashed more - Russia or the USA?

Speak to most military retirees and you will hear the same mantra.  Listen to blue collar Joe speaking on the radio show that Bob listens to.  You hear the same mantra.  But in turn they will say there is a liberal mantra.

I agree with Bob that you need to listen to how the folks in your community think.  I just don't have to listen to it over and over and over.  Put up a topic and you know what their response will be.  One track...brainwashed...it's their way or the highway.

I've probably rambled in a circle.  Hope you catch what I'm saying.  Very Happy

Oh, I catch it, She Writes.... I think you have written some good stuff in this piece.  I am also spiritual, but not wedded to some church.

As a youth I believed the Cold War propaganda and was determined to serve my country, which I did for several years, to keep the Russian bear at bay. I did not think we would make it through the 1970s without there being a nuclear war between there U.S. and USSR. For me, the veil began to slowly be lifted from around 1980 forward. It started with a small paperback book published in 1971 titled None Dare Call it Conspiracy, by Garry Allen. Mr. Allen outlined how the big banks control our destiny, and how Wall Street bankers provided Lenin and Trotsky the capital to underwrite their 1917 revolution in Russia. Why would they do this? I have been open to revisionist history ever since.

Looking back to when the Cold War ended with the fall of the Soviet Union in 1992, there was talk of a so-called Peace Dividend. Fast forward a few years and you can see how quickly the MIC created a new enemy for America in the form of Muslim terror. I find it to be mind-boggling.

Oh, and I am a firm believer that the Soviet Union was never the monster that the Establishment painted for us. They were teetering as early as the 1960s. They could not afford to compete with America militarily and do things for their citizens at the same time. JFK and Kruschev were talking behind the backs of hard-liners in both camps, who sought confrontation over negotiation. Our hard liners placed nuclear-tipped IRBMs in Turkey, aimed at Moscow, and the Russians responded by putting IRBMs in Cuba aimed at Washington. We almost went to war then. The result was, Kruschev was sacked and replaced by hardliners, Kennedy was assassinated, and the Cold War lasted another 30 years. The Soviets scrapped much of their space program and diverted the resources into an ICBM program that ultimately would aim 1,600 missiles at the heart of America. This kind of crap is what hard line politicians bring to us.

I definitely believe many of the issues of today have been created.  It's quite disgusting.  I'll look into the book you mentioned.

I posted this morning about the movie Charlie Wilson's war. Back when the US "supported" Afghanistan against the Russians. Good movie. Makes you scratch your head and say, "Oh and now for the past 10 years it's been important to be there why?"

None Dare Call it Conspiracy, as a downloadable .pdf:
http://govtslaves.info/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/none-dare-call-it-conspiracy1.pdf

It is a fast read; just 98 pages.

BTW, in skimming through this, it looks like a re-type of the original text, and there are a few typos here and there. It does not, however, look like the text was altered intentionally at all.

Have guests here but skimmed last night before bedtime. Reads a bit like the "revealing" of the "Illuminati." While I am not into conspiracy theories, I've always felt there is a group of folks that keep the plans rolling behind the scenes. American government - just a puppet.
