Obamacare continues to collapse. Is that why lame duck President Obama is starting to say President George Bush was right?

CBO: 2016 ObamaCare enrollment to fall short of projections by … 8 million

Get ready to have expectations for ObamaCare managed downward … again. The Congressional Budget Office issued a new estimate for the next decade under the Affordable Care Act that lowers the enrollment projection by 40% in 2016. In fact, according to the CBO, next year’s enrollment is now expected to barely grow at all from 2015:

ObamaCare will enroll significantly fewer people than expected in 2016, ending the year with about 13 million customers, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) said Monday.

The figure, which was included in an expansive budget report, is a decline of about 40 percent from last year’s enrollment prediction of about 20 million people.

The latest projections confirm the Obama administration’s previous assessment that fewer people are signing up as the marketplace closes in on its third enrollment season — the final one under President Obama.

First of all, you can't exactly use thehill.com as a source anymore since this was your response to me the last time I used it as a source:

Markle wrote:You really need to wean yourself off your far left Socialist sites and branch out.  This email was just released with this latest flurry being released weekly.  Try to keep up.

So there's that. But even if we put that aside for a second. Let's actually read your article and see what it says.

From the article:

The new report also underscores the challenges facing the incoming administration in reducing the uninsured rate after 2017. While the healthcare law has led to a historic low in the uninsured population, officials have struggled to further reduce that figure this year.

Read that, Markle. The healthcare law has lead to a historic low in the uninsured population. That is a success.

Next, why is the CBO estimating that less people will sign up in the exchanges? Are they saying that less people in general will have health insurance? No.

From the article:

Many of the uninsured people who opt out of coverage on the exchanges are now expected to purchase insurance “directly from an insurer instead,” the CBO said.

Markle, all you have done here is irrefutably prove two things: 1) You can't argue anything on merit, so you instead attack the messenger - claiming that everything that doesn't confirm your worldview is a "far left socialist site". Oddly enough, here you are citing the very "far left socialist site" - thehill - that you attack when anyone else uses it. 2) You can't read.

Seemingly you would know better than most that the answer is no.

The vast majority of those 13 million are older people and people who have pre-existing conditions. That means the younger, healthy people needed to pay for the system are NOT enrolling choosing instead to pay the fine.

That seems to be what we, Conservatives, forecast too. If a younger healthier person does become ill with a lengthy illness, they know they can sign up for Obamacare the next time around.

All of which is moot, since Bernie Sanders will, as President, bring in single-payer health insurance.

We don't need Health Insurance Companies to make money off people's illnesses.  Fuck Health Insurance Profits.

He tried to change the channel by diverting the topic again. Somehow, semi-demented poster Markle gives himself an exemption for doing this, while he complains about others doing the same. Quite hypocritical of him, I would say...

I specifically addressed your post. You are simply unable to refute my point.

President Obama EXPECTED Iran to comply with the unsigned nuclear agreement. President Obama expected Fast and Furious to work, he expected Hillary Clinton to comply with his demand that she NOT to hire Sidney Blumenthal and the beat goes on.

President Obama EXPECTED Hillary Clinton to comply with Federal law and not use a private server nor expose confidential, top secret information to be perused by our friends and enemies.

More?

Can Obamacare be improved?

Sure it can.

But even as it is, it is far superior to what we had before the ACA.

Somebody tell me why the hell we need Health Insurers at all. We spend more for healthcare than any other modern nation, and our results are terrible. Somebody tell me why we have to bend over backwards to bring huge profits to the drug companies. Why are we paying ten times as much for a drug, when the same drug sells for so much less in Canada, Germany, France, etc?

Fuck Amerika Inc.!!

Essentially we agree. But the ACA is better than what it superseded. We need to get the humongous profits out of health insurance and big pharma.

I can picture the govt basically "incorporating" the few major corps left after the dust settles from this edict.

A single payer insurance pool is the answer. It will be efficient and will save middle class folks money. High income folks will have a return to progressive tax rates but instead of rates as high as 70% will only be in the 50% range. The most exciting thing is that it will free American industry from incredible expense which shall allow for capitalization of industry and more hirings as single payer will be an economic explosion of growth in America as the average American could easily save 5k a year. The Affordable Care Act was simply an incremental step to a better system. It never was the end goal.....NEVER.

Fuck Amerika Inc.!!

You must be so proud.

[It figures you're for the bloodsuckers instead of the American people.  Thanks for again confirming your fascist perspective.  I'm so proud?  You bet!  Like Bernie, I'm all for winning America back for the people and not the 1/10th of the 1% you genuflect to.

Tell us more why the big pharma companies are justified in robbing America .... we're all ears.

Fuck Amerika Inc.!

Which country, no, I'll give you a dozen countries, have produced more life extending, life saving drugs, medical procedures and technology than the United States?

How much does it cost for a drug company to develop and bring to market a new drug?

Sure it can.

But even as it is, it is far superior to what we had before the ACA.

Somebody tell me why the hell we need Health Insurers at all.  We spend more for healthcare than any other modern nation, and our results are terrible.  Somebody tell me why we have to bend over backwards to bring huge profits to the drug companies.  Why are we paying ten times as much for a drug, when the same drug sells for so much less in Canada, Germany, France, etc?

How long does it take them to recoup the cost? A far shorter time than they continue to charge RIDICULOUS prices.

Colorado has a single payer initiative on the November ballot, but wants to raise taxes. If passed they should use the taxes collected from legal marijuana to pay for it, hell they taken in million's.

Today's update from CMS/HHS/Marketplace. Do what you want with it.

By the Numbers: Open Enrollment
Since Open Enrollment for the Health Insurance Marketplace began on November 1, about 11.6 million people have signed up for or renewed a health plan (2.7 million through State-based Marketplaces through December 26 and over 8.9 million through HealthCare.gov or CuidadodeSalud.gov through January 23) that meets their needs and fits their budget.

People learned about HealthCare.gov by talking with friends, from their local news, from social media, from trusted leaders in their communities, and from TV and radio public awareness campaigns. When they needed advice about how to enroll, enrollment specialists and volunteers were #HereToHelp and ready to answer their questions. Text messages, emails, and phone calls provided important deadline reminders. And when they were ready to sign up, new tools and features on HealthCare.gov, the Marketplace Call Center, and in-person assistance have made it as easy as possible for them to do so.
