Starbucks Customer Confronts Cashier Who Stole Credit Card Number

The victim's husband is in the military. The barista found a way to copy the victim's credit card information and put $212 in charges on the card number. She and her brother drove back to Starbucks to confront the barista. After her brother loaded the video on YouTube and it went viral, the woman decided not to press charges, saying the barista (who was fired from her job) deserved a second chance. Her punishment with the viral YouTube video and being fired from her job was enough.

I disagree the victim should have declined to press charges. The State should have proceeded with the charges anyway.

I hate a thief!

This happened to me just recently...not a credit card but cash...but I called the guy on it. It could have been inadvertent, and he apologized, but I will always be alert when dealing with this person in the future.
