Mississippi river flooding in December historic

This flooding is common every year. A pipeline with pumping stations from the Mississippi all the way to the western states to use as irrigation water is conceivable, very expensive, but possible. I think the oil pipeline is a ridiculous waste yet it is being done. Millions of dollars could be saved every year. I would think insurance conpanies would invest in it. Sam Walton has enough money to finance the whole thing and would become an American Hero.

I agree with you, Yella. If we can afford to pipe oil & gas, I don't see why we couldn' pipe water. However, Sam Walton died in 1992. I believe his vision was to bring products to rural areas, and that he was a management genius. Too bad his offspring doesn't honor that vision.
