As the drought continues over much of the west, the river at Greenville Mississippi has been closed to boat traffic like it was in 1988. The Corps of Engineers is surveying for dredging and they're moving channel markers because boats have been running aground.
It has intermittantly been closed for 9 days. There's over 100 boats waiting to traverse the river.
It's pretty bad when the mighty Mississippi runs low on water.
