A Fountain, Colorado, woman has been arrested for making verbal threats against Republicans during a phone call to Planned Parenthood.

Denver’s KDVR-TV reported that Fern Roberta Delise, 54, attempted to call the Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood clinic but was directed instead to a Denver Planned Parenthood clinic since the Colorado Springs facility is still closed in the wake of a fatal shooting.

Fountain Police said that during the phone call, Delise became frustrated that she wasn’t able to access the facility of her choice and said that “It is tempting to walk into a Republican Party meeting with her dead husband’s gun and just start shooting people.”

According to KDVR, Delise was arrested for menacing, and police searched her home. They found ammunition, but no firearms.

It is sad that current events reinforce folks having a mental picture of shooting people when they are angry. I think the news media reinforces this copy cat behavior, and I strongly like the way the Oregon folks handled their shooting at the Junior College. They said they were done talking about the shooter's name or his actions. They would talk about the victims. I do not think the media going nuts after every shooting is healthy for marginal folks who visualize shooting as a viable alternative to deal with frustrations......that and driving your car into buildings is getting way to popular as copy cats are a natural result when you blow up every event in the media.

Played a video game lately? Listened to rap music? Watched an action movie? Seen inner city crime statistics?
