Cept we aint sure what it was.  On one of the Fair's webpages,  it was billed as "The Coasters".  And inexplicably on another of the Fair's own webpages,  it was billed as "The Drifters".  I kid you not.  lol

But whatever it was supposed to be,  it was some of the best live music you could ever hope to experience.
And it was a sparse crowd of old gray hairs like me so we were able to get up close to center stage.
A black male quartet fronting some really talented middle aged and younger white musicians.
Did the Coasters,  the Drifters,  motown and soul.  And one R&B flavored country number.

That was one of two memorable things with this outing.
When we headed home,  I couldn't find the car.  Do you know how big that parking lot is?  It had filled out since we went in and I had no clue where the car was.  I literally spent a half hour and walked the whole thing twice before finding the car.  Was real close to giving up and calling a cab.

Bob, you continue to make me smile. I make sure I locate my car twice before I go anywhere because I have had the same thing happen for five minutes at a large casino in Arizona. It was embarrassing, but the good news....I was by myself.

Hit the panic button on your key fob. Follow the sound. Shocked

The panic button on my Prius has never worked since I've had the car.
And I know it's not a problem with the fob and has to be with the receiving unit or other electronics in the car.  And since they'll probably charge me a month's income to get it fixed I'd rather use that money to pay the bar and restaurant tabs on my credit card balance.

The reason I know the problem is not the fob,  is because I lost the only fob which came with the car about two months ago.  I looked for it for 5 weeks because a programmed replacement costs $300.  Finally had to give up looking because I didn't want the car to go uncranked any longer than that.
Paid the $300 and got the new fob.  Panic button still doesn't work,  so it's not the fob.

I'm thinking more along the lines of "Fear and Loathing"...in Pensacola.

For the last ten years anyone who knows me,  including me,  has wondered if I'm not suffering from early onset Alzheimers.  And I don't mean this is to be a joke or make light of it.  My memory is so goofy that it gives every impression of being that.

But what we've all begun to accept over time,  is that if it is Alzheimers it's taking an awful long time to progress.
So we've all concluded that what I'm afflicted with is not the classic strain of Alzheimers.  It's some weird mutation of it that my friend yelladawg has given the name Sometimers.
Fortunately,  Sometimers is not as debilitating as Alzheimers.  What our research has discovered is that Sometimers is to Alzheimers,  what a functioning alcoholic is to a skid row drunk.

Actually I think they used to call it senility.  But that term is no longer politically correct.

I... We think my dad was beginning to show some signs of dementia... and it likely played a part in his death. He was constantly losing stuff and his reactions to even small normal day to day frustrations were becoming sharp and out of proportion. As an example he would miss turning on a street or exit and immediately cuss and act like it was a big deal... It was out of character for him.
