"I’m outraged by the attacks on American diplomatic missions in Libya and Egypt and by the death of an American consulate worker in Benghazi,” Romney said. “It’s disgraceful that the Obama Administration’s first response was not to condemn attacks on our diplomatic missions, but to sympathize with those who waged the attacks.”

This man cannot be elected dog catcher.....he releases a statement accuses the president of sympathizing with the killers of our Ambassador.

It was a crass and tone deaf statement by an evil person who tries to make up his deficits in the election, and now he has stepped in it.......lets see how he flips and flops.

This was the president's statement:

POLITICO Breaking News
-------------------------------------------------
President Barack Obama on Wednesday condemned the attack on the U.S. diplomatic facility in Benghazi, Libya, that killed four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens. "Chris was a courageous and exemplary representative of the United States," Obama said in a statement. "Throughout the Libyan revolution, he selflessly served our country and the Libyan people at our mission in Benghazi. As Ambassador in Tripoli, he has supported Libya's transition to democracy. His legacy will endure wherever human beings reach for liberty and justice. I am profoundly grateful for his service to my Administration, and deeply saddened by this loss."

Well that was part of it anyway... I didn't see anything in the whole statement that could be considered out of line. Now let's see what the Libyan government does about it.

The first presidential debate is Oct. 3rd. Some say this is Romney's last chance to get his ducks in a row. He can't do it. He hasn't got it in him.

what led any of you to believe that obama could "bridge the gap"?

hell... he barely makes his foreign intelligence briefs half of the time.

Yes, because he prefers to read them rather than having them read to him.

Don't you hate having a literate President?

i actually held some hope that obama could fulfill some of this hype...

if his campaign were an advertisement or a new drug... there would be a class action suit.

POLITICO Breaking News
-------------------------------------------------
Republican nominee Mitt Romney repeated his criticism of the White House for its initial response to the attacks in Libya that killed four Americans, saying the statement was "akin to apology" and it was "disgraceful to apologize for American values." While expressing his condolences to the families of those killed, he said the Obama White House response "reflects the mixed signals they're sending to the world" on American foreign policy and values.

no offense, but we really dont have a leader in this country right now. we have a appeaser.

the dems couldnt even pull a convention off without a bunch of chaos, much less prove to be any kind of strong leader for this country on foriegn affairs. look at how they have delat with lybia and egypt. This administration is PART OF THE PROBLEM.

How do you feel Libya and Egypt should be dealt with?

I want my evil person (Romney) to be president way more than I want your evil person (Obama) to be president.

Holy shit!

Rather than sticking to mourning the lives lost and condolences for the families, he actually inflamed the situation by insulting the Cairo staff and attacking the President of the United States with slanderous lies?

Holy shit!

I've never seen such a dick move by a candidate for president. What a politically craven opportunist.

He should not only be forced out of the race immediately, he should be run out of the country on a rail.

Fucking asshole!

I'm sure he'll flip-flop on the issue before the evening news comes on....still a dick, though.

Incredible. His initial statement full of slanderous lies and political opportunism was released while attacks on U.S. personnel were ONGOING.

Willard lied while people died.

Fucking asshole!

Romney is a typical politician with as much foreign policy experience as Obama had when he became President. I guess you ultralibbers will ride this wave for awhile. It ought to be amusing to watch.

Weren't you one of the wingnuts screaming hysterically about how Obama was politicizing the killing of OBL?

You pitiful, feeble minded fool. You can't follow a thread very far can you? Of course not, with your permanent assumptions blinders on you wouldn't understand something if it was driven into your hard head with a nail gun.

A few things, dumbass ...

One, Willard got the timing of the tweets to which you refer WRONG in his statement.

Two, U.S. personnel were still under attack when he made his statement.

Three, it's unpresidential as hell to make a partisan attack in the wake of a tragedy which took the lives of U.S. personnel overseas.

Four, Willard's campaign initially planned to wait until after 9/11 to launch his false attack, but decided this was just too juicy to sit on.

Five, Willard's campaign has now realized just how badly he screwed this pooch and has issued directives to fellow Republicans on how to cover for him, although initial reactions suggest that even they're not stupid enough to touch this turd with a ten foot pole.

I know that you're first knee-jerk reaction is to defend your boy because he has an (R) next to his name, but this is simply indefensible. ALL Americans should condemn his unconscionable and unpatriotic statement.

I see you've been reduced once again to your, "Oh yeah? Well, you're a stoopid librul!" parry of last resort. As always, a brilliant move against which I have no defense.

Oh Hi Sally, imagine that! You did respond with another weak rant. Of course you are correct - you have no defense for what you are - unless you are from another planet. Perhaps it is time you went back to Uranus for another load of your fabulous witticisms.
