In our history, have we EVER had a more thin skinned president?  Is it even possible?

Personally, I LOVE the personal attacks on here for the same reason given by Greg Gutfeld.

Not only does semi-retired President Obama, he wants to change the way news is reported.  I bet Hillary Clinton would agree.

Gutfeld: Obama's Criticism of Fox News Is a 'Badge of Honor'

May 13, 2015 // 5:53pm  
As seen on The Five

On "The Five" today, Greg Gutfeld reacted to comments from President Obama that were critical of Fox News.

"I think the effort to suggest that the poor are sponges, leeches, don’t want to work, are lazy, are undeserving got traction," Obama said. "And look, it’s still being propagated. I have to say that if you watch Fox News on a regular basis, it is a constant menu. They will find folks who make me mad. I don’t know where they find them."

Gutfeld said that Obama's criticism is absurd, because he never suggests a motive.

"FNC has always focused on policies that keep the poor poor, not the poor themselves," Gutfeld said. "And that's scary to progressives like Obama, who fear that their ideology will be exposed as the culprit behind so much present misery."

"Identity politics, welfare policies and the white liberal addiction to social intervention has helped replace enterprise with entitlement," Gutfeld asserted. "And that's hurt the poor more than street drugs or police brutality."

Gutfeld said that is why when Fox News is critical of Obama's policies, he recasts it as being critical of people.

"He says we need to change the way the media reports issues," Gutfeld noted, translating that as "just agree with me and we’ll be fine."

"In our history, have we EVER had a more thin skinned president?"

Are you pulling our leg with this question or what?
Have you never listened to the "Nixon tapes"? Because if you had, you would know without any doubt that not only was Nixon the most thin-skinned president we've ever had, he's in the running for most thin-skinned human being who ever lived.
With this one there is no close second. lol

If he did,   he didn't do it until he was convinced there were definitely enough votes in Congress to impeach him.
Before that,  he hadn't owned up to anything for 2 1/2 years.  Kept lying and denying any knowledge of it that whole time.
And even when he resigned he didn't admit that he'd ever done anything wrong.

But "owning" it is not what Markle was pointing to.  Markle was instead talking about being "thin-skinned" and asking if any other President was as thin-skinned as Obama.  And if you listen to those tapes it becomes crystal clear pretty quick that Nixon was unbelievably thin-skinned when it came to  any criticism and especially so if it came from the press.

Don't expect semi-demented poster Markle or poster KarlRove to ever criticize a Republican President. Just a fact.

I lived through the Nixon years. Yes, Nixon swore and complained a lot...in the Oval Office. He did not do it on a daily basis on National TV and any other media he could find.

You're right...no one is a close second to semi-retired President Obama.

What other president wanted to change the way we report the news...that would mean censorship would it not?

The answer to your first question is in the links in my last post.

The answer to your second question is, that even if the politicians want to "censor" the media, there's that pesky little thing called The First Amendment. And The First Amendment trumps any and all politicians.
And thank god for that. Because if we didn't have that mandate in our Constitution, the politicians would have turned this country into North Korea a long time ago.

Nixon didnt publicly cry like Obama does.

Obama wants the news reported as he sees fit. Like Kim Jong Un in North Korea. He wants to sanitize the news much like they do in communist countries. This is Communism, Fascism, Socialism, Nazism, and several other "isms" of horror in the flesh, and it's our president presenting these anti-constitutional and anti-American ideas. Friends, we got trouble in river city, and it's clearly complete out of control. It's time to contact Congress and yell "help"

We have a president who not only loathes our constitution, but sees it more as an inconvenience to his imperial presidency than limits on government and the foundation of our liberty.

Bullfuckingshit, Karl.

Have you never heard one of the most thin-skinned (AND VERY PUBLIC) statements in the history of American politics?

"You won't have Nixon to kick around anymore, because, gentlemen, this is my last press conference."

But you're excused for being too young to even know this history, Karl. I'm just barely old enough to remember it.

And how old were you from 1969-1974? Were you following politics as closely as you are now, or were you still playing cowboys and Indians with the other grade-school boys in your neighborhood? I would suppose the Partridge Family was more important to watch for you back then than political news programs on TV.

The Tapes of the Nixon White House were not broadcast on a daily basis on TV stations working 24/7.

Have you ever heard of a concept called hyperbole, Markle? You and pacedog make it sound like Obama is on a constant daily diatribe against Fox News with every word he utters? lol

Are you sure you're not confusing that with the feud between your hero O'Reilly and Keith Olbermann? The one where for a while there about every other night O'Reilly called Olbermann a "guttersnipe". And then when he got over-the-top thin-skinnned, he started in on the Chairman/CEO of General Electric which owns NBC. Actually sent Watters World or one of his flunkies up there to stick a microphone in Immelt's face while he was having lunch and demand that he scuttle Olbermann.

Okay, freeze that thought. And now for something completely different.

After I wrote that last paragraph I just took a shot of truth serum. So now I can write only truth.
And the truth is that was some of the most entertaining televison since Letterman tried to shake the hands of the security guards at NBC and they gave him the "NBC handshake". Or when Andy Kaufman shocked us with that bit he did on Fridays.
I watched all three events on the night they first aired. Boy am I a world class tv couch potato. Those wrastlin fans got nothin on me.
