Semi-retired President Obama, as we all know, CANNOT accept responsibility for anything that does not go his way. HE linked HIS policies to the mid term elections, and when he was royally trounced, it wasn't his fault, not enough of his voters went to the polls.

As if we don't have enough low information voters. Semi-retired President Obama wants FORCED VOTING! Don't they have that in North Korea, China, Venezuela and a few other places?

THIS is the President who claims to have taught the U.S. Constitution to "minds full of mush". (For my uninformed socialist/communist good friend Wordslinger, that is another reference to a famous quote from a TV series.

Really, President Obama, with less than two years of his reign remaining has gone off the rails. I'm certain we'll see more of the same from him.

Obama Suggests Mandatory Voting for US Citizens

Posted by Jim Hoft on Thursday, March 19, 2015, 12:14 PM

More pretzel logic from America’s unhinged leader…

Barack Obama pushed mandatory voting for United States citizens, saying it would counteract money in politics.

Really? Or would political ads just be dumbed-down for the low information voters?

President Obama did not run for office in the mid term 2014 election cycle. He lost nothing. If Mr. Romney had won the White House, the structural mid term election would still have given the senate to the Republicans. The majority of seats up for election were in the old confederacy......this really is not that hard to understand, but when you see a point and a half plurality difference in the overwhelming Southern elections......your assumptions are simply sophomoric propaganda.

I agree that mandatory elections are not good policy. However, if the goal is to make elections more accessible by having this debate, I am good with it. It should be incredibly easy for Americans to vote. Forcing them to vote is bad policy, and I simply disagree with the President, but understand the process he is starting.

True, BUT you conveniently "forgot" that semi-retired President Obama MADE his policies part of the election.

If President Obama had sex with an elephant in the white house, or if for two years prior to the election he had suffered a stroke and could not speak or write.......nothing would have changed in the 2014 mid term election. It was a southern cycle. There were few swing states. The 2016 election will be mostly northern, eastern, and western seats with many swing states senate seats up for election. It is a structural election favoring the Democrats. So when the White House is won, and the Senate is won......pundits will claim it was a mandate for the Democrats. The House vote in 2016 will be a far more reliable indicator. Propaganda moves ignorant people. America is much smarter, more diversified, and trending Democratic in national elections based on real demographics which favor Democrats.......this is not rocket science.

Semi-retired President Obama MADE the election about him. Isn't everything?

Republicans across the nation ran with that fact and trounced Democrats in nearly every race in the nation.

At the same time, Democrats tried to put every inch they could between themselves and President Obama.

Semi-Sane "I KNOW NOSSING!" Markle is very much aware that the one thing republicans across the nation fear most, with very good reason, is that more of us turn out and vote.

Obviously you are talking about how Jonathan Gruber, architect of ObamaCare described those who supported semi-retired President Obama. They are stupid.

Glad to see your coming around. Glad too to see your desperation necessitates your childish name calling.

Keep up the good work.

He never said he wanted mandatory voting. He likened our system to Australia's, where voting IS mandatory. He advanced the idea as a hypothetical and he called for the US public to become more engaged in the electoral process.
