A beginner would recognize what this is and MOST Americans will swallow the Kool Aide.

I've made a handsome living for 40 years by solving problems and negotiating solutions. If this looks to anyone like the U.S. is not being played for a fool, they're not paying attention. Here we have STALL, STALL, STALL.

US, Iran press for nuke pact; lesser announcement on table?

By BRADLEY KLAPPER and GEORGE JAHN

LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) — The United States and Iran plunged back into negotiation Sunday, hoping to end once and for all a decades-long standoff that has raised the specter of an Iranian nuclear arsenal, a new atomic arms race in the Middle East and even a U.S. or Israeli military intervention. Two weeks out from a deadline for a framework accord, some officials said the awesomeness of the diplomatic task meant negotiators would likely settle for an announcement that they've made enough progress to justify further talks.

[...]

Yet as Kerry arrived in Switzerland for several days of discussions with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, no one was promising the breakthrough. One diplomat said new differences surfaced only in the last negotiating round of what has been a 15-month process, including a sudden Iranian demand that a nuclear facility buried deep underground be allowed to keep hundreds of centrifuges that are used for enriching uranium — material that can be used in a nuclear warhead. Previously, the Iranians had accepted the plant would be transformed into one solely for scientific research, that diplomat and others have said.

Doesn't the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty allow Iran to enrich uranium for use in power-plant reactors?

Doesn't Israel possess the world's only secret nuclear arsenal? How did they accomplish this?

The same sanctions that have been laid on Iran should have been laid on Israel as soon as the U.S. found out they had the bomb. We are 45 years too late on that one.

Israel knows where this is, and if they believe this is a danger to their country, they can proceed against international law and make a preemptive strike. However, it sounds like the Iranians have the lab secured under a mountain. Japan has a hundred fold the cenfrifuges and yet we do nothing against the Japanese, which most certainly have the ability to produce nuclear weapons and have probably done the same as a second strike DEFENSIVE strategy which is consistent with their constitution.

Where is it in the Israeli constitution that they are sworn to destroy another country.

It is not 45 years ago, it is now 2015.

Given the FACT the semi-retired President Obama has worked hard to lose the trust of our friends and that he is not a reliable friend. Japan, and other friends of ours will have to develop nuclear weapons.

Thanks you President Barack Hussein Obama.

that he is not a reliable friend.

If a reliable friend means sending American kids to die as proxies for our friend's kids.....yes he is not reliable. In regard to Japan developing defensive weapons only because of the President currently serving.....incredibly naive.

Back to the question at hand.....Are Americans incapable of determining their critical strategic interests. Answer.....nope.....they get it. Israel and America have different strategic interests. We share some and have differences with Israel. If after a diplomatic agreement among the allies it becomes apparent to Israel that Iran is scamming, they have a strategic course which may vary drastically from their allies. It is their decision. Our decision and that of our allies is clear, we want a diplomatic agreement which can be verified, and we do not want a nuclear Iran. We are willing to risk diplomatic verification.....Israel may not.......two different strategic courses which cannot through a Vulcan mind meld become one, or through bribery become one.
