Going through Nashville and all I saw was billboards advertising job openings....machinist, mechanics, warehouse, and truck drivers. The roads were full and almost every restaurant had full parking lots.
We stopped at a waffle house and got to listen to the manager interviewing a young man for a position. He had to go to a firm that did background checks.
When I was in South Florida, I saw hundreds of new houses under construction. TN and KY seem to be booming. I usually get comped with free stay at Harrahs in Metropolis Il across the river from Paducah, but when we got there the parking lot was full.....folks from TN and KY filled the parking lot and I talked with a great many retired baby boomers who are having a hell of a good time in retirement.
It is only going to get better.
