Heres a blurb on naom from wilipedia: The same blurb may show up under anti-American

After the publication of his first books on linguistics, Chomsky became a prominent critic of the Vietnam War, and since then has continued to publish books of political criticism. He has become well known for for his critiques of U.S. foreign policy,[23] state capitalism[24][25] and the mainstream news media. His media criticism has included Manufacturing Consent: The Political Economy of the Mass Media (1988), co-written with Edward S. Herman, an analysis articulating the propaganda model theory for examining the media. He describes his views as "fairly traditional anarchist ones, with origins in the Enlightenment and classical liberalism",[26] and sometimes identifies with anarcho-syndicalism and libertarian socialism.

lol... you can't even take his description of himself at face value. his mention of anarchy comes straight from marx's "communist manifesto". the basic idea was that after the socialist state phase had taken all private property and actions out of play a social harmony would result in perfect communism... therefore removing the need for "state".

bs is right

Noam Chomsky? Really?

A RADICAL who believes that the United States is WORSE than NAZI GERMANY.

Among MANY other very RADICAL positions Chomsky is a denier of the genocide which took place in Cambodia when the Communist took over. Chomsky claimed that "only" a few thousand Cambodians had been killed when actually the number is well over 2 MILLION of Cambodia's 7.8 million people.

Chomsky is a radical anti-American and it is very understandable that Floridatexan would admire this individual.

Pitiful.

FWIW

"Noam Chomsky and the Cambodia Controversy"

"I mean the great act of genocide in the modern period is Pol Pot, 1975 through 1978 - that atrocity - I think it would be hard to find any example of a comparable outrage and outpouring of fury and so on and so forth." -- Noam Chomsky, in the documentary "Manufacturing Consent," 1993.(1)

How did a man who describes the Khmer Rouge regime as "the great act of genocide of the modern period" come to be vilified as a vocal supporter of Pol Pot?
