Let's face it, add militarization, innocent people gunned down by mistaken Ninja-like no-knock drug raids, brutal beatings, taserings and shootings of unarmed citizens by cops protected by a rigged justice system, is there anyone in the United States, I say ANYONE who is surprised at this payback moment?

As long as the government and its police forces pursue the current strain of US vs. THEM, they can expect to become targets.

Reality.

Screw America Inc.! Corporate control of our government through campaign financing.

THIS, is what brings JOY to Wordslinger.

Not surprising considering the killers are a part of your tiny percentage of anti-Americans.

You must be so proud!

Two NYPD officers were killed Saturday in Brooklyn as they sat in their squad car by a gunman who reportedly threatened to shoot police hours earlier on Instagram.

The gunman, a 28-year-old with a criminal record who police believe may have been acting in revenge for the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner, killed himself moments later in a subway station. The incident left the nation's largest police department stunned, and is sure to further inflame tensions between police and Mayor Bill de Blasio, who police had already said was unwelcome at police funerals because of his perceived support for anti-police protesters.

The brazen shooting occurred at approximately 3 p.m., and left Officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos dead. Police said the gunman, identified as Ismaaiyl Brinsley, appeared to be carrying out a planned assassination.

“The perp came out of the houses, walked up behind the car and lit them up,” a high-ranking police official told the New York Daily News.

"They were, quite simply, assassinated," NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton said in a press conference late Saturday.

The officers were shot in the head at point-blank range by the suspect, who then then fled to a nearby subway station before turning the gun on himself.

Both officers were rushed to a nearby hospital, where one was pronounced dead, police said. The second officer was later pronounced dead at the hospital, a senior city official and a law enforcement official with direct knowledge of the shooting told The Associated Press.

The New York Post reports that investigators believed the shooting may have been motivated by the deaths of Eric Garner and Michael Brown.

“I’m Putting Wings on Pigs Today,” a person believed to be Brinsley wrote in an Instagram post that referenced both Brown and Garner posted just three hours before the officers were shot, the New York Post reported. Bratton confirmed that authorities were looking into some "very anti-police" Instagram posts.

I see. So your form of justice is to just go out and kill some pigs because it'll make you feel better. It doesn't matter if you kill the good with the bad. Yeah that's really payback. Maybe afterwards you can go break out some store windows and do a bit of looting in your immediate neighborhood also.

After you've torn everything down then what?

Are you going to complain to the cops if you piss off someone that handcuffs you to a car that's about to blow up and then throws you a hack saw to get yourself out of your jam? Oh wait!!!!! There probably won't be any cops to complain to about anything...

I get no joy from the news of the assassination of the two NYPD cops.
I get no joy either from the almost constant reporting of cop killings, brutalizations, etc.  I get no joy also, from what's happening to America now that it's THEM vs. US.

I'm equally as sorry about the two dead cops, as I am for Eric Garner and Taris Rice.

And you're wrong also about me being anti-American.
I'm against wars we entered but never intended to truly win.
I'm against the last forty years of our foreign policy.
I'm against an economic system that his been corrupted so that 99% of us get poorer, and poorer.  I'm against a dysfunctional two-party government that's as out of date as the country's Constitution.  I'm against the power of our humongous Military Industrial Complex.  I'm against our racism.
I'm against keeping the minimum wage so low that literally millions of Americans have to obtain some form of governmental aid just to stop from starving.  I'm against a healthcare system whose primary concern is the profits of insurers.  I'm against our country torturing anyone -- because it's wrong.

However, what I like about America is how I feel biting into the right hot dog.  Or watching a good movie.  Or playing piano or walking my three dogs, playing with my ancient Corvette, and being with people I love and those whom I like very much.

If that makes me anti-American, so be it. [size]

Now poor Wordslinger is reduced to shouting and clumsily trying to explain his hate for America and all it stands for. Given his hero's, who would expect anything else?

He has his hero's and the rest of AMERICA has theirs. May God bless him.

You're too old to be so ignorant, Markle. What gives?

Very sad when innocents get killed because of the wrongs of others.

This morning's news shows all focus on the NYPD cops who were shot to death in their cruiser.

Endless interviews of mayors, former mayors, police chiefs, etc. and not one of them suggests any changes to the Grand Jury system, increased police oversight, or finding any way or means with which to start a real dialogue with the public aimed at improving police/community relations.

They all act completely shocked by what's taken place in Brooklyn.

"What do we want? Dead cops! When do we want it? Now!"

What these policing "experts" need to realize is that if they continue to perform as aggressive, violent, militarized representatives and protectors of a corrupt, wholly-owned government beholden to corporate campaign financers, it will be US vs. THEM.

And there will be many more dead cops, and dead citizens.

Do the cops really believe the corporations they represent give a damn how much blood --- theirs or the citizens' -- runs down the streets of Amerika Inc?

When we have a militarized police force acting as an occupying force and seeing the citizens as the enemy, casualties are inevitable on both sides.

Tragic, but inevitable.

It would be interesting to know how an ex-con came by a gun in nyc... when a law abiding citizen can't.

Yes ...

... if only the victims had been armed ...

... oh, wait ....

I do my best to avoid both criminals and cops. And now that all this shit has gone down, I'm going to try even harder to avoid both.
But when the whole thing comes to mess with me, I'll have to choose the cops over the criminals. It's like voting. It's now just a lesser of evils thing.

He may have called himself a socialist, but he despised communists as much as he despised jews and queers. In fact, the movement that brought him to power did so to prevent the commies from taking power.

Let's face it, the cops have a choice: They can continue to protect and serve the corporations who now own our government, and accept becoming targets for assassination, or they can do everything they can do to make amends to the people they were sworn to protect and serve.

The revolution is already underway. It started when the two cops were gunned down in Brooklyn.

The killer of the two cops was an armed crazy. But then again, the guy who choked Eric Garner to death was an equally armed crazy.

I think it's very likely the cops will now become more aggressive, because they now have genuine reason to be afraid.

Anyone want to predict where all this shit is headed?

Golly Bob, you're going to diminish the power of Markle's penchant to re-invent history ...

I don't need any police to help me shoot looters, thieves, and people damaging my property. I just need government consent or permission to take matters into my own hands as a businessman with castle law. The police just need to come around and pick up what's left of the criminals.

I'll go you one further. If I'm being victimized by somebody, I don't need "government permission" to defend myself.

What corporations own our police departments? Seems like you have your own little agenda.

Our society functions with laws and regulations....when criminals run amuck it is the responsibility of the police to enforce those laws.....and when the police do their job, the criminals get all upset because they do not want to conform and live within the law. Criminals see the police as the enemy, therefore, a target.

Is your answer a lawless society?

How many 'supposedly' peaceful protestors go after the politicians, state and county seats, lobbyists, and large corporate CEO's, instead of simply lashing out at the nearest thing at hand like the small businesses and residences in their neighborhoods?
