Yep, that is what all the insurance agents said on the other forum. Turbo Tax heads must be spinning. I've always done my own on turbo tax, I may have to finally see a cpa. Medicare for all would have been so much simpler.

Agreed. More efficient, less costly, and a boost in the arm to our manufacturing industries which cannot compete in markets where the burden is not on the employer.

Mr. Markle raises legitimate concerns about funding, but we will address those issues and set our priorities to fund health care. I think the national sales tax will be the fairest method although some on the left feel that would be a regressive tax with an inordinate burden falling on the poor. I disagree. Everybody needs to contribute.

Sure... it's like the underwater guy taking out another mortgage and applying for more credit cards. What could go wrong?

The government can't even maintain adequate health care for veterans and liberals think they can do it for everyone else.

There's humor in there somewhere... It most likely is the irony of the thought processes they use.

You're right DE... the real solutions once you get past healthcare being a service... and see it as a right... is that healthcare costs are best offset before there's a problem. Once that's overcome... the preemptive, prohibitive, punitive measures begin.

It's hard to believe we've turned over our very bodies to the almighty govt... gawd we're dumb. Collectivism crumbles.

It’s amazing how quickly criticizing Obamacare went from “Republican talking point” to “Republican avoid-talking-about-this-if-at-all-possible.”

To highlight just how awkward it has become for Republican politicians to be seen standing in the way of the (now pretty popular) health care law, one conservative mayor in North Carolina plans to march 273 miles to Washington, D.C. to protest his own party’s unwillingness to work with the law.

Mayor Adam O’Neal has watched as his hometown’s hospital had to shutter its doors because North Carolina is one of nearly two dozen states whose mostly-conservative leadership refused to expand Medicaid. The Republicans hoped that purposely preventing Obamacare from working to its fullest would hasten its demise – instead, they are slowly realizing they’ve cut off their nose to spite their face. Residents in these states are beginning to wonder why they are being denied affordable health insurance when neighboring states have no such problems. More troubling still – if you’re a Republican hoping to get elected in November, that is – Obamacare seems to be working, making the doom-and-gloom predictions and subsequent denial to work with it all the more embarrassing.

Correct, though not for the reason that you stated.

Here's an in-depth timeline of events since the bill's introduction. Really and truly shameful...

Blow By Blow: A Comprehensive Timeline Of the GOP's 4-Year Battle To Kill Obamacare

"The Affordable Care Act celebrates its fourth birthday on Sunday, just as its first enrollment period comes to a close.
It has been a long battle to get to this level of implementation — and the fight hasn’t ended yet. From Republicans’ initial resistance to repealing Obamacare in its entirety to their relentless effort to chip away at the law by targeting individual provisions, withholding funding, and undermining implementation, the party is showing no signs of abandoning its anti-Obamacare crusade any time soon.
On this anniversary, ThinkProgress takes a look back at all of the milestones in the GOP’s ongoing campaign to undermine a law that has defined national politics for half a decade:
MARCH 23, 2010: An immediate push to repeal.
Immediately after President Obama signed the Senate health care bill into law, 13 Republican state attorneys general file a federal lawsuit against the overhaul and Sens. Jim DeMint (R-SC), Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) and Rep. Steve King (R-IA) introduce legislation to repeal the law. King even offers a discharge petition. “If we can get to 218, we can force Nancy Pelosi to bring a repeal to the floor for a vote. If the Senate can do that…we have a chance to put a repeal on President Obama’s desk and make him veto that bill,” King explained. “Repeal and replace will be the slogan for the fall,” Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) predicts...(extensive timeline follows)..."

This is particularly galling, from Seaoat's Machiavellian hero. I would like to invoke Dr. Seuss here. Please watch the spinmeister in action...he's a hoot...in a suit...that's our Newt.
