Abu Bakr al Baghdadi, released by President Barack Hussein Obama and is so extreme and violent that he was thrown out of al Qaeda.

'I'll see you guys in New York:' US commander who was ordered to release captured ISIS leader-to-be to Iraqis in 2009 reveals chilling parting words of fanatic now leading extremist march on Baghdad

As he was being released from an American detention camp in Iraq in 2009, the man who will go on to head the powerful ISIS group issued a menacing warning to his former captors.

'I'll see you guys in New York,' Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi reportedly told U.S. Army reservists from Long Island who had been guarding him at Camp Bucca near the Kuwaiti border.

Army Colonel Kenneth King, who was the commanding officer of the U.S. forces' largest detention facility in Iraq in 2009 was one of the people who heard al-Baghdadi’s parting words, but he did not take them as a threat at the time.

Critics say the US and UK governments of the time failed to prepare properly for the aftermath of the invasion.

The reality is that the intervention by Tony Blair and George Bush has destabilised this country and left it open to extremism, and we are seeing that now

General Petraeus won the war in Iraq. President Barack Hussein Obama and his bewildered appointments announced the United States Surrender when he took office.

Clinton also said Bush should not be faulted if banned weapons of mass destruction aren't found.

"I don't think you can criticize the President for trying to act on the belief that they have a substantial amount of chemical and biological stock. . . . That is what I was always told," Clinton said.
- Former President Clinton Wednesday, April 16, 2003

"Could Be One of the Great Achievements of This Administration" The vice president said he’d been to Iraq 17 times and visits the country every three months or so. "I know every one of the major players in all the segments of that society" he said. "It's impressed me. I've been impressed how they have been deciding to use the political process rather than guns to settle their differences."
- Vice President Joe Biden (D) Feb. 10, 2010

How has the war President Barack Hussein Obama said we SHOULD have been fighting going? How is the Middle East going now that President Obama is President? Oh, Afghanistan just crossed 2,330 American fatalities. Seventy percent of whom died since President Obama took office.

Abu Bakr al Baghdadi was captured by American forces in 2005 and spent four years as a prisoner in the Bucca Camp in southern Iraq. He was released in 2009. Who the hell released him?

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was being held at Camp Bucca which was closed because of a 2008 security pact between the US and Iraqi government.
Under this pact, prisoners and detention camps were handed over to the Iraqi government.

The US wanted him to remain a detainee, but the Iraqi government released him.

Interesting...in 2009 the U.S. flies him out of the prisoners camp,. hands him over to the Iraqi government without restrictions, and then we place a $10 million bounty on him. Sounds like some serious negotiating occurred.

President George Walker Bush and General David Petraeus won the war and brought Democracy to Iraq.

In only three years, President Barack Hussein Obama has brought mass murder ISIS and chaos to Iraq. Guess there's more to this President thingy than experience of being a Community Organizer.

The sheer DESPERATION of the left is showing them making unforced errors.

Somebody won the war........are you fricking insane. Militarily the state of Iraq was defeated in weeks, but a ten year occupation.....tell me how you win an occupation? What are the indicators that you have won a war? We beat the Germans militarily, we beat the Japanese, and yes we had short occupations, but our success in both Germany and Japan was our occupation was short and we got out of the way. Tell me how the Soviet occupation of Eastern Europe worked for the soviets......tell me how they won the war. You are looking to scapegoat our utter failure in policy in Iraq on the person who finally got us out of that mess. Sorry, I hate to see the violence and killing. I hated to see the violence in Viet Nam and Cambodia after we left, but I would rather the nationalistic evolution happen without Americans being blown up, and you think we won a war.........you just cannot make this up.

seems to me the topic was that Obama released the now leader of this terrible group who is mass murdering so many people.

and he did.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2657231/Revealed-Obama-RELEASED-warlord-head-ISIS-extremist-army-five-years-ago.html

and I think it draws a fair conclusion that he also just released 5 more top leaders back into the fray during that lop sided trade.

No, just stating a fact.

Obama didn't get us out of any mess in Iraq.

In 2008 the American and Iraqi governments signed the U.S.–Iraq Status of Forces Agreement which stipulates that all American forces should withdraw from Iraqi cities by 30 June 2009 and from Iraqi territory altogether by 31 December 2011. On 14 December 2008 then-President George W. Bush signed the security pact with Iraq. In his fourth and final trip to Iraq, the president appeared with Iraq's prime minister Nouri al-Maliki and said more work is to be done.

Z, My son lived over there for a year and almost died 3 times. I learned a lot about Iraq during that time.

Obama inherited a pretty good situation however it was poorly managed.

Of course it was years in the making. President Barack Hussein Obama announced his surrender AND failed to negotiate an agreement for us to maintain a reasonable level of our troops there to maintain the stability of the country.

Part of his experience with running ACORN meetings.

It took somebody long enough to fall into that one. Thank You. The Japanese and the Germans were a nation state which started a war, and it was a defeated nation state which we demilitarized and remained their guests by INVITATION only. The Iraqis never were at war with us, we invaded them, and after a ten year occupation THEY asked us to leave. Thank you.

Are we trying to rewrite history again?

As I recall it the terms of surrender for both Japan and Germany was 100 years of occupation. But don't let me stop you... Does Japan have a navy?
