I must admit I have a twitter account but really don't now how to use it. I do understand how twitter has been used around the world to organize political movements and organize people to protest and demonstrate.
It also seems clear that even though us old folks may not know how to tweet or follow #'s there is an awareness among activists and terrorists etc as to what is going on in the Twitterverse. Things happen because of attention drawn to situations because of people tweeting about them.
Case in point is the recent kidnapping of the Nigerian students and the attention the tweets have brought to their situation. The old folks at F News don't seem to understand the power of the tweets and Coulter made an attempt to mock efforts to put pressure on the Nigerian government via Twitter. It seems to have backfired as people photo shopped her original tweet with messages of their own.
