That is sick.  Sad

In some areas of the country there is a surplus of wolves and coyotes and it is necessary for the number to be thinned. This is the same as been done in areas of Alaska where there is an overpopulation of the predators.

In Connecticut they are opening more and more areas to deer hunting since they are severely overpopulated with deer.

Interesting. Why do you think there is a surplus of deer?

I can assure you there is not a surplus of deer anywhere near where my family lives and they are not starving to death. when deer hunting season is on, its on!

I understand the whole food chain thing. because that's where this is going. but the food chain is messed up all over the place. from plankton on up. Genetically modified mosquitos here in fl, GMO crops, mass production of meat to feed all the people. I could go on and on.

so if im choosing steak or deer to save over coyote, that's my preference. my daughter has had 2 of her cats eaten by coyotes here in the cape in the last 2 years. they are a pest, but guess what, they have little places to go so they are coming out into the burbs to eat. Im sorry about that, but there is nothing I can or will do about it. just being honest. plus coyotes are scary, I would shoot one if I caught it eating another animal out here. which reminds me, my new neighbors leave their dogs outside, I probably should tell them, they are from jersey I don't know if they have coyotes there.

In Texas it's open season on wild pigs. I love pigs...

they're delicious.

I don't live way out in the country but I do live in a fairly rural area on a couple of acres of land. I do see numerous wildlife from time to time. I don't leave any of my pets out unless I'm with them.

If I lived in an area where a new neighbor might be unaware of predators, I'd certainly mention it to them. If they ignore your friendly caution, then it's on them. You did what you could. I've seen deer in some of our developed neighborhoods as well as red foxes and most everything else. This is Florida.

yeah, surprisingly enough about florida is that its pretty populated and we do have a wide variety of wild life. I never expected to see a coyote, it shocked the hell out of me and scared me. I always thought I see one of those pythons first. then I read that someone had a black bear go into their deck and those very large panthers down here, always scared to see one and just today I read they caught a nile crocodile. geesh, its a damn zoo down here lol

Gulf Breeze has coyotes...I wouldn't mind having them shot.

I did not know that. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. You know what that reminded me of? that time those black bears swam across the bay and a guy in a boat seen them. That was crazy.

As I was leaving here the other day I noticed some wild dogs making short work of a wild boar...when I got home only some bones were left.

We have had bears in Gulf Breeze proper.....wandering around Publix and St. Anne's church. They are in the National Seashore and enter behind GB hospital. Plenty of bears in Navarre because of Eglin Reserve.

Gulf Breeze has the basic foxes and raccoons. The coyotes worry me. They killed some cats just behind the high school on the jogging track.....that is worrisome.

Boars are mean but no match for hungry dog packs. There's a reason shepherds use dogs to manage herds of animals. If there ever is a severe loss of power EMP or solar flare and people can't find food and turn out their dogs rather than watch the dogs starve , the dogs will become killers eating whatever and whoever they can find. They will work like a well trained platoon to catch people off guard and then kill and eat them. You can take the dog out of the wolf but you can't take the wolf out of the dog....

You would expect the post disappearance transmission signals would have been picked up by our military in the Pacific Rim.

If the wolves need to be killed due to overpopulation, then it should be done in the most humane way.
