It looks like the Taliban thinks it can retake the country, while the Karzai government thinks it can hold its ground. As soon as the U.S./NATO pull out, renewed civil war will begin.

This outcome was likely predictable. No outsiders have ever been able to tame the Afghans. Alexander the Great, the British, and more recently, the Russians all found out the hard way. Looks like the same lesson will be layed on the U.S. and its allies.

The outsiders have tamed the Afghan contrary to your belief. Had they not, civil war would already be going.

But,like Iraq, Obama will cut and run. Astan will take less time to head j to chaos though as Karzai will go the same way as Hussein.

We control that country til we leave. It's no dishonor to us if most Afghan men would rather hump sheep than their women along with staying high on opium or hashish.

Don't you mean as soon as President Barack Hussein Obama completes his surrender? Chaos will break out just as it has due to President Obama's lack of action in Iraq.

No wonder why our friends no longer trust us and our enemies are cheering us on.

I agree with pacedog and markle. President Bush had this war won until President Obama lost it. If President Bush was still in power, Afghanistan would be a democracy, and all the Taliban would be powerless and unable to challenge the democracy. That is not happening ONLY because of Obama.

Why would anyone care what you think of two people?
