I'm like Chrissy, no news doesn't make me feel positive either. I'll be glad when you get an update.
The young lady I've been following on Facebook, Kendra Fendt, has reached a point where nothing can be done for her. The family is just waiting for her to pass away. I'm so very sad for all of them.

By nature, I will remain positive and believe neko is making headway in her ordeal if only a bit at a time . . . . that's the way the things play out many times . . . she's in a fight but she's a fighter and will not succumb!!!

Wonderful news! I am most encouraged by the beginning of physical therapy. Somebody commented to Granny4Peace that they always thought of the therapist as a "physical terrorist." Anyone who has been in PT can relate to that, lol!
Neko is strong and determined. That will serve her well in the days and weeks to come.
She and her family will remain in my prayers.
Joani, thank you for your expression of sympathy. Kendra is still alive, but we are all just waiting for God to take her.

Kendra's story is so very sad. Her dad's special words to her are so loving.

Sigh, was hoping for more news today.
We are all so thinking of her.
That's probably the nicest thing about this zoo is that we can be mean, but pull together when one of us is in trouble.

traveling and I am glad to hear she is making slow progress. The lungs are amazing organs, and I hope she is able to slowly have them return to full functionality.....she is in my prayers.

Neko's brother called me tonight.....he said Neko is doing better. Because of the trach, she is not able to talk but she is alert and she can communicate non verbally. He said they expect her to be hospitalized for several more weeks.

I am glad you are feeling better. You have been a dear friend to her, and nothing I like better than getting you both worked up to get Seaoat.......I live for Neko to get back and be well so she can join you in our usual tag team matches......I will sleep much easier, but I also am realistic that until she is out of the hospital there is still significant risk of secondary infection......but if she had her way she would probably leave yesterday.

Me too, Seaoat. I want her out of the hospital. Of course....she would have hated our current freeze.....not the weather she expects in Florida.
