Stupid? His belief in his faith is stronger than his contract with a television network. They are self made multi-millionaires and A&E misjudged the massive audience of the Duck Dynasty. They worked hard, they are very family oriented and they are not politically correct. Something most people are sick and tired of hearing.
What he said was crude. A&E thought they were getting another show like "Honey Boo Boo" or whatever where the audience laugh at the family. Instead they got a show most people can relate to and which drove it to be the number one show in cable TV.

I agree he did earn it. Economic growth from negative growth when he assumed the office. Winning a second term when all said he would be a one term president, and passage of the affordable care act which presidents attempted since the end of WWII......you are correct his legacy was earned.

You told me specifically that Obama had failed and the American people would elect Romney....you guaranteed the same. So now you say failure......damn.....congress will probably propose a constitutional amendment to repeal term limits on the president.....we probably will have a five term President Obama.......Peyton Manning and President Obama will always have haters........but they keep scoring....pretty soon you have a legacy.

Here's the thing... While I don't agree with anything this ZZ Top wannabe said in that interview, I don't think he should lose his gig over it, either. After all, if Rush Limbaugh, Pat Robertson, and Ann Coulter are still making money after all of the hateful bullshit they've spewed out over the past twenty years, why can't this guy show his ass and stay on the payroll?
But I'd like, just once, for someone to have the balls to admit their bigotry without trying to blame it on Jesus.
If you want to be a hate monger, just own it. Tell the world you don't like queers. Be bold about it. Tell 10% of society that you despise them for breathing your air. Spit when you think about what they're doing behind closed doors, if it helps you clear your throat.
But don't point to the Bible to justify your ignorance and intolerance. Don't quote passages from Leviticus as if that settles the debate. Because there are other passages in that book specifying the offenses worthy of being stoned to death. There's a set of rules laid out in Exodus for how a father should go about selling his daughter.

Here's the thing though, these guys are no more rough and tumble backwoodsmen than I am. The life style they show is all put on. Look at these pictures of the folks before "reality tv" got a hold of them. As the guy in the video says the people who are supporting this guy deserve to be "taken in" by the whole publicity stunt.
