Finally, an argument which deals with probabilities and is presented at a level that children could understand.........like the plexiglass......some child like minds harbor irrational fear and it is doubtful any rational discussion could penetrate the same.
I question the need to vaccinate newborns against Hepatitis B. I'm also not a fan of flu vaccines. Parents who are concerned about side effects can ask their pediatrician to spread out the series to minimize the risk. Most of us...boomers... grew up with someone who had polio as a child. I wouldn't wish that fate on any child. I do have a friend who told me her daughter was diagnosed with autism after a vaccination, but she changed the child's diet and put her in a hyperbaric chamber. Maybe the diagnosis was wrong. Maybe the special (gluten-free) diet and the oxygen treatments worked. I don't know. But I would certainly not advocate leaving a child unvaccinated, even if the schools would allow it.
