http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/12/18/senate-gop-fails-in-final-bid-to-restore-military-pension-cuts-to-budget-bill/

Ahead of the final vote, Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., tried unsuccessfully to use a parliamentary tactic to force a vote on the amendment, which he wrote to undo the cuts for military retirees.

A provision in the already House-passed bill would cut retirement benefits for military retirees by $6 billion over 10 years.

Sessions wanted to instead eliminate an estimated $4.2 billion in annual spending by reining in an IRS credit that illegal immigrants have claimed.

so the dems wanted to keep this illegal use of funds to illegals so bad they let the unemployment benefits not be extended.

so we see who our politicians really want to get votes from, not American citizens. Apparently American citizens just are not as important anymore.

I guess we are just going to annex mexico. perhaps those rumors about a north American union were correct.

after all, in this budget also is a agreement between the US and Mexico for drilling oil off their coast. Why would we need that in our budget?
