Good news for America ... horrible news for the GOP -- unemployment drops to 7.0 under the Barack Hussein Obama regime.

Newt set for self-immolation, with Canter throwing the zippo. Mitch taking cyanide capsule handed to him by Boehner . . .

Reality!!

This is the new Socialist European normal.  As planned, by President Barack Hussein Obama and his comrades.  All for a new womb to tomb welfare society with a third world status.

Don't forget, that 7% doesn't count the 11 million who quit looking for a job.

Progressives who see a light at the end of the tunnel is really the massive freight train known as ObamaCare and all the accompanying taxes, higher premiums and far higher deductibles.

We can only hope and pray that America is still strong enough to survive this onslaught and return to our former greatness and prominence in the world.

Just when did we exhibit greatness and prominence? With the Native Americans? The Cubans, the Filipinos? Vietnam? Iraq? Afghanistan?

The war against Spain?

Other than our victory in WWII (which, in reality, we shared with England and the British Empire, along with Stalin's and Mao's forces) just what period of America's history are you referring to when we "exhibited greatness and prominence?"

Your sense of history is as warped as your sense of political goals. LOL

Maybe Herr Markle's idea of "former American greatness and prominence" was what we exhibited under Reagan (selling guns to Iran for money to be used in fighting revolutionaries in South America, and for "freeing" the Americans who had been imprisoned after the fall of the Shah in Iran)?

Or was it the America of greatness and prominence we exhibited while trying to run Vietnam? Or was it when Dubya lied us into Iraq?

Or was it back in Teddy Roosevelt's reign?

It couldn't be WWII, because we fought and won a war against your favorite Nazis.

So, just when were we a nation of greatness and prominence?

Reality.

How bout in the 18th Century when we threw the monarchy off our back.

Or in the 19th and early 20th Centuries when we led the industrial revolution.

Or the economic prosperity we created following WW2.

Or the moon landing and the computer revolution.

Don't those at least count for anything?  They do to me because the middle two gave me the antique jukeboxes.  And the last one gave me this technology which allows me to talk to you.  And the first one gave me the right to say the Creator is not a good person.  lol

OK, you make some great points here. But did we really improve things with our governmental electoral system vs. the Parliamentary system of England? Considering the current dysfunctional federal government, I wonder?

I too cherish and fondly remember the prosperity following WW!!. Do you think we'll ever regain such good times?

Yes, we achieved greatness with the moon landing. Am not sure we've achieved greatness due to computers ... time will tell.

But your assessment omits all the political and economic disasters we've promulgated over the last 40 years ....

I still don't know what Markle meant by our "former greatness and prominence." Do you?

I think it's highly improbable.  I don't see how our work force can ever compete with literally billions of people who are willing to work for slave wages.

That's also why I despise the democrat and republican politicians equally.
They all got in bed together to enact those trade agreements and they lied through their teeth to us.  Kept promising us that sending all our manufacturing jobs overseas would give us all equal or better jobs over here.
Biggest lie ever told to the American people.

I only meant we got rid of the monarchy.
But yes I prefer the parliamentary system.

I don't see a substantive difference between a representative republic and a parliamentary system. Except that it seems easier to pass popular edicts... which usually turn out misguided and exactly wrong. Oh... I guess that's progressivism.

I didn't see anything in Chrissy's statement about Obama. That's all you and your hate and fear of conservatives coming to the surface.

Of course employment is up. Retailers are hiring for the Christmas season. Unemployment will increase again when they don't require the employees.

Duh!

Here is "Reality" according to my Socialist good friend Wordslinger.  Little doubt why he can find nothing good about America.  He'd be so much happier in North Korea or China.

Ah, my Socialist good friend Wordslinger is getting testy at having his beliefs displayed for all to see instead of hiding behind his flowerful rhetoric.

Wordslinger,

Here are your EXACT WORDS. Also, I did not say you admired Mao tse Tung, I said you admired his philosophy which you frequently quote.

My opponents in this forum have called me […], a Nazi, a Communist, a Marxist, a socialist and an admirer of Mao Tse Tung and Noam Chomsky.

Since these folks are confused about what I am, I'll set the record straight right now. Listen up creeps ...

I'm exactly the same kind of democratic socialist as Bernie Sanders. I've never admired Mao, although his stand against the Japanese in WWII was clearly more admirable and beneficial to the U.S. than Chiang Kai Shek's. I greatly admire Noam Chomsky and the late Howard Zinn. On the insanity of religion, I idolize Christopher Hitchens and Bill Maher. AS for being a homosexual, all I can say is I've been married to women for 48 years. [Irrelevant]

I believe the current 99% OWS movement IS a full fledged revolution that's just beginning, and that revolution is ALWAYS instigated by oppression. I look forward to the OWS movement becoming the political powerhouse it promises to be. Screw Amerika Inc.

So now you know exactly what I believe and think and admire. Enjoy. LOL

As you stated above, one of your hero's, Noam Chomsky is a proud anti-American and another of your above mentioned heroes is Howard Zinn, a self avowed Socialist. As you so proudly point out, Bernie Sanders is the only self admitted Socialist in Congress.

As for Chris "Thrill Up My Leg" Mathews, well, that speaks for itself. Unlike Wordslinger, at least Chris "Thrill Up My Leg" Mathews has, in the past, apologized for some of his most degenerate comments.

Mao tse-Tung, as mentioned above, is a mass murderer on a scale all his own.  Millions of Chinese perished under his regime.  Wordslinger loves quoting from Mao tse-Tung’s “Little Red Book” but never uses this quote…for some reason.

Every Communist must grasp the truth, "Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun."

"Problems of War and Strategy" (November 6, 1938), Selected Works,  Vol. II, p. 224.
