I am certain we can all agree that the war on drugs was just a huge waste of money and time. It did not work, so why continue to waste billions of taxpayer dollars on something that failed so miserably?
Thanks.

I am certain too that we can all agree that the war on poverty was just a huge waste of money and time.  It did not work, so why continue to waste TRILLIONS of taxpayer dollars on something that failed so miserably?
Thanks!

Well, it was way off subject, old man, but I will bite.
Are you referring to LBJ's SOTU address in 1964??  Really??
Of course you repressed the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Act of 1996, signed by Bill Clinton which effectively changed welfare from then on.  So I am not sure what else it is that you refer to beside the omnipresent hatred you harbor for poor people.
It is well documented that you conservatives do not and will never care about your fellow man, even though that is what Jesus taught.  So sadly demented that you, pee-dog/KarlRove, Chrissy, and Joani, et al, all take such pride in your disdain of less-fortunate people.  Even though most of those people are in that situation through no fault of their own.

I wonder what other parts of society you can alienate??
And you still are hopeful that a Republican will be POTUS soon.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

Thanks for playing, and please stay on subject as hard as that may be for you, Mr. Markle.  Everything always seems to come back around to your blinding hatred.

So true. And isn't it mostly the same people that need gubment assistance that do the most drugs. Not counting marion barry and snoop doggy.

The poverty rate decreased significantly from the late fifties until the Reagan Presidency when the rates began a steady increase. The actual percentage of poverty folks has improved since the War on poverty.
