Well in my opinion it will be a great light show. The book of Revelation in my opinion was mostly symbolic and referred to the destruction of the Jewish system the Temple and Jerusalem. The Old things which were physical had to be destroyed as they were only a type of the real Kingdom which is Spiritual. The Jews rejected their Messiah because he wasn't what they expected. They had expected a warrior messiah who would rout their enemies and restore their prominence in the world. Christ was a warrior but in the things which really mattered, the hearts of men. Some say it was a dual prophecy but that doesn't happen.

I watched it.  I wouldn't worry about it too much cause there isn't anything we can do about it.  But if 1/3 of the forests burn and 1/3 of the sea turns to blood  in the next couple of months, then we're all in some trouble! affraid

This doesn't have anything to do with the video--but about the earthquakes, Japan really wasn't ready for the Kobe earthquake. The Japanese didn't think that the Kobe area was very earthquake prone and didn't realize the severity of the fault line under that area, or however else it is that they determine high prone areas.  Today, Kobe is more ready.  All of their bridges have been reinforced.  It's pretty impressive to see their elevated roads in that area and how they have reinforced them.  The Tokyo area has a fault line going under it.  There was the Big One in that area in the 20s and they are overdue for another one.  I will say that over the last couple of years, since we left Japan, the frequency of stronger type quakes has seemed to increase in Japan.  The Tokyo Metro area has over 30 million people.  Although their newer buildings and roadways are earthquake resistant, there are a lot of older buildings and houses that are not.  Remember, in the Tokyo/Yokohama area, most people live in 5+ story apartment buildings.  Many of these are 30+ years old.  As prepared as the Japanese are, it's going to be horrible when another Big One hits that area.  When my daughter attended Japanese preschool, they had earthquake drills at her school.   Every child had a padded little earthquake vest (we ran across my daughter's vest when we were getting ready to move down here) and during the drill, the kids would grab those vests and get under their little desks.  Unfortunately, if the Big One hit, I don't think those little vests and those little school desks would be much protection. Crying or Very sad    And then if 1/3 of the trees are on fire and 1/3 of the ocean is blood...well it's just doomsday for all of us and I don't know if even Teo and his FEMA trailer could survive that?

20For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Anger and Reconciliation

(Luke 12:57-59)

21Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: 22But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. 23Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; 24Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. 25Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison. 26Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.

Adultery

(Leviticus 18:1-30)

27Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: 28But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. 29And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. 30And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Divorce

(Deuteronomy 24:1-5; Luke 16:18-18)

31It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: 32But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

Vows

(Numbers 30:1-16)

33Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths: 34But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne: 35Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. 36Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black. 37But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

Love Your Enemies

(Leviticus 24:17-23; Luke 6:27-36)

38Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: 39But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also. 41And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. 42Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

43Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? 47And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? 48Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

This section shows the transition God was sending his son to accomplish, the new covenant not with Israel but with all mankind. It was a passing away of the old covenant and bringing in a new covenant .The Law was weak in that men are weak. Only a law in the hearts of men can bring men to God. The blood of bulls and goats can't erase sin only roll them forward until the perfect sacrifice was made. Christ was that of course. We have access now into a Spiritual kingdom wherein dwelleth righteousness. The old kingdom with the Jews as it's core was a physical kingdom and passed away to herald in the new and lasting kingdom of the Christ.

The person making these vids has a inside connection to our gov. You would have to know her history.

I personally am very interested in comet ISON. but it appears that space topics don't really take here.

The rest of that is or should have been a good coffee table conversation piece.

Do you all remember what it used to be like at some point n your life when random topics would come up and you would just sit around and chat with your friends off the wall openly, honestly and sometimes crazy like?

I do. I wish that for all of you again.

The spirit of thinking/pondering exploring is a terrible thing to loose.
