The article claims that Nissan will market a driverless vehicle in 2020, and this will spur others to get into this market. One group says that by 2035, 75% of light duty car sales will be driverless.

I have even read that in the future, they will be able to do away with traffic signals. That driverless vehicles will have built-in collision avoidance, and cars will be able to enter intersections from all directions and simply miss each other as they go through. That will be wild.

It's a given though.  Somebody will find a way to be really stupid and cause an accident. It's human nature.
