A friend sent a copy of the following comment published in an old Intensedebate.com blog:
"I am 66, and I don't recognize this country anymore. My father's parents were born in 1877 and 1883. If they were alive today, they would think America was insane. I am a Vietnam veteran, and the swarming locust are coming home to feed. You always reap what you sow. Fast forward 10 years, and most cities across America will have a curfew. Fear will be the number one emotion in America. Since the end of World War II, the United States Government has bombed 28 countries. As Martin Luther King Jr. stated on April 4, 1967: " A nation that year after year spends more money on military defense than it does on programs of social uplift is facing spiritual death." Americans are in a political coma, but that is going to change very shortly. You can have health care and education, or bombs and bullets. You can't have both. The cowboy days are coming to an end. It's time to grow up...
Mike Army medic Vietnam "
