Actually, as you know, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Keith Ellison and members of the Progressive Congressional Caucus are Socialists.
Who do you call Progressives?
Just by simply reading your posts, Markle, one must wonder if you even know the meaning of the words socialist and socialism. Here, I can help...
socialism (ˈsəʊʃəˌlɪzəm)
— n
Compare capitalism an economic theory or system in which the means of production, distribution, and exchange are owned by the community collectively, usually through the state. It is characterized by production for use rather than profit, by equality of individual wealth, by the absence of competitive economic activity, and, usually, by government determination of investment, prices, and production levels Curious that I have never seen or read where any of this is actually occurring here in the U.S.A. Markle, will you please post links or actually show proof of where and how this is occurring in our country and in our present day?[/quote]
Steps President Barack Hussein Obama is slowly taking. We now own Sallie Mae, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, General Motors and have sold Chrysler to Italy. Does that still make it an American Car Company or an Italian Car Company.
As you should know, ObamaCare is the first step toward the government taking over 17% of our economy. I'd say that's moving in the direction of Socialism. I know, you don't. Such is life.
You didn't go far enough with the definition of Socialism. Keep in mind that President Obama told us to judge him by the people with whom who he surrounded himself.
