You're the last person who should be calling anyone classless, Chrissie w/ your filthy mouth, pornographic pictures and incessant rages. You're going to teach your kids and grandkids "rap is crap?" What a friggin nerve you have?

as an adult I do a lot of things behind my children's back. They don't get to see everything I do.

and while I may not be perfect, never claimed it. I still have some values and some worth and some class whether you like to know it or not, because you don't know me and you make a lot of assumptions based on faulty internet typing's lol

My children are not hoodlems, they don't walk around with their pants down to their knees blaring rap music out. And its because I have raised them to not appreciate that type of culture.

Now if I want to look at titties in my spare time, none of their business. and if I want to talk sexy in my spare time, again none of their business. and if get mad and cuss you or others out on here, again none of their business.

So let me explain this to you again for the millionth time. You don't know me as a person. You know the very little bit of a online personality that is hidden.

Fact is, in real life I probably have more class than you. I clean up well. Razz

I guess you believe in the old" don't do as I do,do as I say,eh?" You have very distorted views. It's who you are when no one's looking that matters. Not who you defraud your kids to be. You've shown enough of yourself on these forums over the years to prove you have no class at all. Not even close. That is who you are. Not the delusions you have.

Well....lots of interesting views on this subject. Personally, I don't care for rap music. I never have. Neither does my hubby, thank goodness.

However, I do have a nephew who has mild cerebral palsy as well as mild autism (Asperger's.) My tall, pale-skinned, red-headed nephew is the lead singer/songwriter in an otherwise all black rap band. I support him 100%. He goes by the stage name "White Wolf."

While I don't care for rap, I love my nephew very much. If this is what he has chosen to do with his life, more power to him.

I should add that my nephew is one of the most spiritual (I loathe the terms "religious") people I know. When he's not rapping, he's doing some church-related activity with his friends and family.

His world, his life, his culture. And that's A-OK with me.

Its a free country, youre allowed to make your own mistakes with your children and expose them to whatever you wish.

However, what children are indoctrinated with at school with tax payer dollars is the issue. Amd im against rap being used on our youth for any reason at school. simple as that. And Im not alone in thinking that either.

I'm not a fan of rap (rebellious  African people) and I have never cared for "Ebonics". Rap music is a sub cultural music that involves sex, guns, gangs and denigrates women, for the most part. Not appropriate for young impressionable kids.

As far as musical exercise....that's great for rainy days and days when kids ca not be outside exercising and absorbing Vit D.

What's next Twerking for kids?[/quote]
Rebellious African People? lol That's the name of a rapper"s album, but "rap" doesn't stand for that

I'm not sure what the big deal is here. I just watched the video and the music is catchy, fun and completely harmless. I think kids will like it. Rap and hip hop are being incorporated into all kinds of music. Just like rock and roll, some of the lyrics might be controversial but not all.
I'm not sure how old some of you are, but kids and teens love this kind of music, so it's probably a better way to reach them. I don't think something like Sweating to the Oldies would be very effective. Jordin Sparks is pretty mainstream and Doug E Fresh is no Eminem.

I tell ya what, you continue to try and raise your kids as COOL and HIP, and those who choose should be able to raise ours the way we see fit.

having RAP music FORCED on our children at school is not fair.

How about we go to Chicago and FORCE some country music on them lol, bet they would be calling us racist.

lol, you're funny
It's not being forced on everyone.
Who knows, kids in Chicago may enjoy a little country or maybe some country rap, but some parents may disapprove of the references to drinking and partying in some of those songs.
This isn't controversial at all; maybe this is more about feelings toward the First Lady and the Obamas.

NOT AT ALL. I happen to have a very STRONG aversion to RAP music. It stems into an from a culture I DO NOT SUPPORT.

I am a BIG music fan as most of you know and I KNOW for a FACT that the type of music you listen to has an affect on your personality, behaviors YOUR PERSONAL CULTURE.

So it is a issue and you know what, lots of people feel the same way I do about this. Just because you people are so brainwashed into overlooking things out of fear of not being politically correct, doesn't mean some of us out here would actually like to preserve a portion of our culture.

However, we have beaten this topic to death. it is clear I am against RAP being used at school on small impressionable children as this will be a introduction to rap cultural acceptance. And it is obvious no others here want to participate in debate on the other side because I know some here feel the ay I do. And conversations involving me against 10 brainwashed communist only entertains me so long.

It's just another political gimmick program doomed to fail. ...but it keeps Michelle busy between vacations.
The school nutrition program was a failure...it costs the school system billions. It increased the cost of student meals, provided food the kids do not like and will not eat, and had extremely high percentage of daily waste. Kids are not going to eat food they don' t like. The sad part is many of these children are indigent and depended on the free hot school meals provided. Now they do without. Good job Michelle.

According to the  most recent available data from the CDC, 18% of adolescents (children ages 12-19) are overweight. The percentages for children ages 6 to 11 and ages 2 to 5 are 15% and 11% respectively. If you take the average of the three percentages, you come up with a figure of 14.7% for of the entire childhood population of the U.S.

Yes, how dare she try to improve those kids' nutrition? Who does she think she is...the First Lady? LOL Rolling Eyes

What is your point? First Ladies can have causes they support, there is no problem with that. But they shouldn't make policy.

You missed the point.....it failed. The kids do not eat the food. She instituted a program that provided food kids don't like and won't eat.

Educate yourself instead of riding the Michelle bandwagon. More kids are doing without the school meal program, especially the indigent children that depended on the hot meals.
