This wouldn’t be so pitiful if our electrical grid were in good shape. And it’s getting increasingly worse as cost climbs faster than inflation. Thanks BHO - guess you want to ensure reliable electricity for your next $60-100 million Africa adventure.
“Barack Obama pledged $7 billion Sunday to help combat frequent power blackouts in sub-Saharan Africa.”

This is our problem:

Obama pledges $7 billion to upgrade power in Africa AP-power-grid

“A recent study from the Electric Power Research Institute estimated that it could cost up to $476 billion over the next 20 years to establish a nationwide smart grid. But, the group argued, doing so could bring trillions in benefits. Sensors could allow grid operators to identify problems and avert or isolate outages and blackouts. Utilities could juggle demand more easily and lower their costs. Plus, it would be easier to integrate renewable power into the grid.”

How many of these people even own anything to plug in to an outlet?
It's not like they have TV's and microwaves in their mud huts.

This doesn't have anything to do with anyone who lives in a mud hut, you dolt.

This is about making it easier for corporatists to sink their fangs into Africa's vast resources.

China has been pouring money into Africa for years.

They'd be more than happy to eat the whole cake.

By all means, let U.S. taxpayers spend money to make Chinas job easier in their ever growing push to accumulate raw resources. Smooth move BHO....

The question remains....where's this money coming from?...We have furloughs and yet can throw billions around?...The 'dolts' are the supporters and defenders of this cowh...

China would have been more than willing to donate the 7 billion, but there
money is tied up buying America.

Will Obama stop by for a little visit in Egypt? Since they seem to be doing so well with our money and weapons.

Oh I don't know, I spent quite a bit of time in Israel while in the military, they are light years ahead of everyone else over there and their intelligence apparatus is pretty useful.

They're light years ahead because of our aid..
Why is it that it's ok for them and not for Africa?
Nevermind, I know that last answer.. It's because they're niggers..Shocked

My My, for a supposedly enlightened progressive you sure are stone age. As for Israel, at least they didn't waste the aid we sent. Look at the fiasco in Russia, Iraq, and Afghanistan racist hypocrite.

Sorry, but the FOWH paved the way for China to get half of Iraq's oil exports when he made the stupid move to invade Iraq back in 2003. I wonder if the Shrub and the whizkidz on his crew might have though the invasion unwise had they known stories like this would appear in the news within a decade:

NoChain is another PaceDog evangelical who thinks God will destroy America if we don't give Israel an open checkbook.

Yea, it's disgusting that Bush wasn't clairvoyant like the current "Arab Spring" guy, right? As the mideast implodes......

And you are an infantile agitator who reminds me of the former poser W.T.M. But I digress, I never said "give them an open checkbook" loser.

During the Bush administration we poured millions of US dollars into Africa for Aids treatment and prevention.

Israel is surrounded by countries that want them eliminated and they are our greatest ally in the region.

All of the faux outrage by "Lurch" and "Z" is just their typically weak attempt to deflect from the original thread issue, why are we throwing billions at sub-sahara Africa for something our own country needs. You will notice the usual suspects have no rational response to the real issue. They can only spin, deflect, and throw out racist remarks that are meaningless in the context of this issue. SOSDD from them.

Not a good idea to send aid money to people that hate everything about American infidels.

Now innocent people in Egypt may have American jets and tanks used against them while Morsi tries to retain power.

You are an expert at deflecting and spinning (is Markle your mentor?)......

Your alter ego hates the President so much that he will not even type out his real name. Perhaps he is worried his abject racism would show if he did......

What an incredibly dense hypocrite! Your bigoted and racist buddy Lurch is as weak minded as you. You hyper-partisan hacks think (and I use that word loosely) just because someone disagrees with the Prez it must be driven by hate and racism. That makes you the racist moron. People disagree with failed policies and ill-considered decisions - who else can they disagree with since BHO is the Prez now. You think, in your infantile manner, that everything should be blamed on long gone Bush. You are a misguided child who shouldn't be allowed to run with even dull objects.
