The Supreme Court ruling pointed out that Arizona still has an option: It can ask the federal government to include state-specific instructions on the federal form, and go to court if the government says no.

Pure idiocy.

If we (citizens) have to show a picture id card and voter registration card why is this such a big deal...you want to vote follow the rules/laws...Could it be that a certain party depends on 'illegal' votes?...Once again...law abiding citizens follow the laws and exceptions are made for others that don't want to do so...

The 7-2 vote makes it clear that this had nothing to do with politics, it simply had to do with a prior law passed in 1993 which dealt with the federal form, and the attempt by the State to bypass the federal form.   The feds need to change the form, not have a state change the form......this was simple.
