The Natural Resources Conservation Division is preparing a prescribed burn for the Jones Swamp Wetland Preserve, according to a release from Escambia County.
The prescribed burn, which will cover about 60 acres, is expected to take place between March 26 and April 6.
The area for the proposed burn is south of Hwy. 98, west of Fairfield Drive, north of Gulf Beach Highway and east of Blue Angel Parkway.
